Is it possible for a restaurant to be both warmly hospitable and elegant? Chelsea's Trestle on Tenth, which has quickly developed an enthusiastic following, proves that it is. Trained in Switzerland and France, Chef Ralf Kuettel turns out contemporary American food with a Northern European twist, featuring seasonal dishes that are at once simple and sophisticated. Trestle's award-winning wine list emphasizes value as well as variety, offering a choice array of moderately priced artisanal wines that marry perfectly with Chef Kuettel's distinctive menu.

"As a city kid, I'm not used to finding good restaurants in strip malls, so just imagine my delight when I found this place. First, they were so kind. My dining companion was an 80+ yr old, who uses a walker. Amazingly, not only was the restaurant fully accessible - that includes the restrooms- the staff was incredibly generous with their time. So good service, kind service goes pretty far in my book. As for the lunch - standard Italian fare - eggplant, veal, chicken, shrimp parmesan, pizzas - both personal and family size. I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken. A simple dish in which fresh ingredients are vital. Everything was fresh. And I'd like to give a shout out to the bar. Great beer selection. And yes, I'll be back."

Foragers brings clean and ethical food of the highest quality to our customers by shortening the distance between farm and fork. We believe that it is worth going the extra mile to find foods that are healthy for human, animal, and land. We do so by bringing in many local products on our own distribution truck that delivers the best of the Hudson Valley weekly. We also grow our own vegetables and raise laying hens for eggs at our market garden in upstate New York. Since we opened in 2005, we have found many incredible people and products! We are happy to share our discoveries with you in our grocer, wine shop and restaurant.

"I'm not usually your whole wheat and wild berries kind of diner. But the premise of this restaurant, which is tucked behind an upscale grocery that makes Whole Foods look like a bargain and is in the same building as the Chelsea Gem hotel, is that everything is as local as possible, as organic as possible and as tasty as possible. Luckily, that last is quite possible. This is a place that proves freshness counts. It also has a good wine list. The tables are far enough apart so that one can have a conversation. And the noise level was fine, though with the addition of a few more groups of diners, it amped up a bit. All in all, I'd go back."

Busy midtown restaurant going on its 20th year serving reliable and affordable Italian dishes such as Parpadelle Bolognese, Chicken Parmigiano and Pizzettas. We also proudly offer very fresh seafood dishes such as our famous Chilean Seabass, Linguine Pescatore (shellfish and homemade tomato sauce) or tasty appetizers such as Steamed Clams, Tuna or Salmon Tartarte. Along with our recently renovated dining room we offer you private spaces that can accommodate up to 80 persons. Come enjoy the young friendly atmosphere of Pescatore.

"Met a friend for dinner there. Had a lovely glass of red at the bar - it was happy hour so for only $5 I got to try a new Spanish red and that is always a good start to a meal. It was quiet when we first arrived, but by the time we left 2 hours later, the restaurant's tables were nearly full and as was the volume. But no matter. It was a fun Sunday night. They have a great special, which we didn't know about before hand, but took advantage of when we got there - Sunday parm - choice of veal, chicken, shrimp or eggplant parmesan w/salad and pasta all for $20. I had the veal, she the eggplant and both were quite tasty. Our waitress was attentive without hovering. Yes, I will return."

"Fun cocktails, great service, very good mulligatawny soup, curries and fish dishes. Yes, I would definitely go again. Only downside -- the muzak. There was really cheezy elevator music coming over the speakers. (Herb Alpert's "This guy's in love with you" sticks in my mind) but like elevator music everywhere - eventually you can tune it out."
