Rural Society is a contemporary Argentine steakhouse from nationally renowned master of Latin cuisine Chef Jose Garces. Inspired by his travels to South America, Rural Society is at once rustic and luxurious, bringing the energy and sophistication of Buenos Aires to Washington. Our menu and primarily South American wine list, combined with our warm hospitality and welcoming décor, transport you far from the bustle of the District to the sweeping cattle ranches and grill-fired kitchens of Argentina.

"I was very excited to try this restaurant as I love Chef Garces but I was incredibly disappointed. I started with the bori bori soup and while the broth was flavorful, the dumpling was a disappointment. The lobster was a touch undercooked and overly dressed with a chimichurri of some sort -- not good. Our waiter started off attentive but disappeared for more than 20 minutes at one point --I'm talking no sign of him. My dining companion had the chicken and was pleased.
I'm note sure if I'll return."

Under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés, Zaytinya offers an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines served up in a sleek and modern setting. Shared small plates, creative cocktails and unique Mediterranean wines make this spot one of DC’s top dining destinations.

"I was a bit underwhelmed by the food and the service. The food was generally cold. Tasty but cold. I always look forward to piping hot pita - it was cold and pretty hard. The spanikopita was watery and cold. Underwhelming overall."

"I was underwhelmed by my birthday dinner at CUT. The hostess was wonderful, the wine list was great but our server was an automaton who seemed slightly annoyed that I wasn't ready to order when he wanted me to order. That set the tone. My disappointment comes not totally from the service but from the food. I had the Wagyu ribeye and it was almost inedible. The waiter explained that the meat would be prepared with a char-crust -- which I like a lot however, my crust would be best described as a salt crust. I tried my best but it was no good and in truth, I wasn't at all confident that if I sent it back there would be any difference. I also got the mushrooms and peppers -- big mistake as the green peppers completely overwhelmed the mushrooms. In fairness, my friend had the crab/shrimp Louis starter and LOVED it! She also had a filet which was perfectly cooked. I had the butter lettuce salad and it was good as well. I expected so much more. I am in Vegas often and was looking forward to this experience."

"Since discovering this restaurant a couple of years ago, I always make a point of returning whenever I am traveling to Wilmington. The food is exquisite, expertly prepared and incredibly flavorful. The bone marrow was to die for and the escargot cooked to perfection. And, to top it all off, our waitress (Sarah) was helpful, delightful and capable. Again, never fails!"
