Renowned Chef Tim McKee, 2009 James Beard award winner for “Best Chef Midwest”, designed the core menu for Sea Change which focuses on sustainable seafood, highlighting fisheries that use environmentally responsible methods of gathering and farming seafood. The menu also includes a number of items under the heading “Not Fish” as well as late night offerings of small plates and raw bar selections. <br />

"Large portions of so-so food. Servers and hosts pleasant and friendly. Busy, crowded, noisy."

"Some items very good, others so-so. Very good scallop on a fork. Order two or three for a great app. Duck confit app also very good as was celery root soup with vegies. Servers very casually (some would say grubbily) dressed. Reminded us of servers in Austin, Texas, at outdoor barbecue joints. Too casual for a downtown restaurant. This place has a new chef with a great track record who is experimenting so we look forward to visiting again. Very loud music made for a loud dinner despite very few diners."

"Dinner food and menu are improving here after new chef began. Good strawberry salad. Like the add-ons, especially the crabcake. Glad sweet potato fries have returned to the menu. Lots of outdoor dining across from Loring Park. Good weekend brunch, too."

This is the second location of the acclaimed FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar - Mall of America. The restaurant is warm and inviting; from it's copper servery to it's reclaimed Minnesota barn wood walls. Aromas of roasting rotisserie chicken and flame kissed steak fills the air. FireLake really sets the mood for your friends and family to gather and share in delicious, tasty food and warm, friendly service. Enjoy a Minnesota made micro-brew, a crafted cocktail or a light bite in the relaxed and fun FireLake Cocktail Bar. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it's the perfect place to unwind and dine.

"Had read many reports of terrible service, but ours was okay. Surprisingly our server brought us a complimentary dessert and apologized for the slow service. Perhaps they are trying to placate people who complain and so give a free dessert to everyone. Our server was fine but wasn't warm or friendly. Nice ambiance but rated it fair because the orange chairs are very uncomfortable - they can't be leaned back on because you end up back at a 45 degree angle. Each tried a different salad and each was bland. We could hardly taste the dressing because the greens were wet. Walleye cake/burger and sauce were good. Liked that the menu had many local/state food items, e.g, walleye."

Named "Best French Restaurant, populist vote" by Mpls St. Paul Magazine (<A HREF="http://www.barbette.com/menu"><b>CLICK HERE</b></A> to see our menus), Barbette has also received "best of's" from local press for its late night dining, desserts, wine list, date spot, music, and, of course, those French fries that accompany the steak frites. We use local and organic ingredients as often as possible, presenting beautiful food in a casual, eclectic, bistro atmosphere.

"Green salad starter and chicken entree were good. Some outdoor tables just off busy Hennepin Ave. make this a pleasant place to dine outside. Parking lot is a plus in this busy area."

FireLake embodies the flavor of flame & features a menu that takes its inspiration from the heartland of the Midwest & the fresh, simply presented food of the Mediterranean. The menu features a passionate exploration of fresh indigenous ingredients & the unique flavors can only be delivered by real burning wood.

"Better food and ambiance than most hotel coffee shops. Server was very pleasant but harried; seemed to have too many tables to take care of and so service was slow. Good menu with local items."
