Named "Best French Restaurant, populist vote" by Mpls St. Paul Magazine (<A HREF="http://www.barbette.com/menu"><b>CLICK HERE</b></A> to see our menus), Barbette has also received "best of's" from local press for its late night dining, desserts, wine list, date spot, music, and, of course, those French fries that accompany the steak frites. We use local and organic ingredients as often as possible, presenting beautiful food in a casual, eclectic, bistro atmosphere.

"Green salad starter and chicken entree were good. Some outdoor tables just off busy Hennepin Ave. make this a pleasant place to dine outside. Parking lot is a plus in this busy area."

"Better food and ambiance than most hotel coffee shops. Server was very pleasant but harried; seemed to have too many tables to take care of and so service was slow. Good menu with local items."

"Great outdoor venue on Hennepin Ave., nicely sheltered from the busy street. Server Carl was excellent. Food was pretty good - enjoyed the cauliflower and hummus and the kale salad, but the chicken entrée was disappointing."

A midtown classic with sprawling views of the NYC. Located in the heart of Midtown, this steakhouse offers incredible service and great food in a beautiful three level space. Known for having one of the city's best wine lists and bar scenes, Del Frisco's is the perfect place for small groups and parties of up to 80.

"Hope this is just a transition time due to a new chef. We liked the old menu, including the various yummy sliders (especially the crabcake) and sides (especially the sweet potato fries.) Used to be a good beet salad. Very limited fish/seafood selections now. Service was pleasant. Generous-sized green salads. Will try again in a month or so and hope the menu is more extensive & interesting."

Sanctuary, with its chandeliers and vaguely gothic ambiance - protected by gargoyles like the sanctuaries of Europe - is elegant, yet comfortable. It is meant to be a haven where food, service and music please the senses. A fireplace warms cold nights - a patio with flowers and herbs celebrates summer. With thick limestone, rough timbers and ceiling beams dating back to the 1860's, it reminds you of that small romantic place you'd love to visit again. <br /><br /><br />Sanctuary serves New American Cuisine, deftly combining immigrant influences from the Mediterranean to Japan into dishes that are delicious, amazing and satisfying. The menu stays enticing with weekday Tasting Menus, special creations Fri./Sat. and menu changes every other month. The StarTribune said, “[I] loved the well-paired wines, the genial service, the cozy surroundings and the kitchen's finesse." <br /><br /><br />Located one block from the Guthrie, it is the perfect place for dinner before or after a show.

"The menu changes frequently and always offers some unusual but delicious items. Barramundi entrée was excellent, with interesting accompaniments. Kale salad not so exciting. Long-standing tartlet appetizer is very good. Cozy atmosphere, pleasant and friendly host. Easy parking, very good pre-Guthrie dining option."

SeaSalt is inspired by its location near the water and is dedicated to seafood and its accompaniments. Chef Fabrizio Aielli brings to his cuisine an infusion of the simplicity of Venetian home cooking, learned at his mother’s knee, along with the upscale and innovative techniques he has garnered during his years of practice in fine restaurants in Italy, the Caribbean and Washington, DC. He explores time-honored methods and melds them with the new, bringing a handcrafted and honest restoration of traditional dishes. As far as possible, ingredients are sourced from local producers and markets and the disherfolk. Chef Fabrizio Aielli is inspired by the mainstays of the seafood repertoire, using organic and local produce, wild caught seafood, poultry and meat raised naturally without hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products whenever possible, emphasizing fresh and seasonal ingredients.
