"In the age where things have been commoditized, service is really a key differentiator. It's not different in the restaurant sector where a great steak is a great steak is a great steak and can be had many places. Tonight, I was treated to what I would consider exceptional service above and beyond. Essentially, my steak was overcooked. Cutting the first piece I could see it was medium vs. the medium rare I asked for. After my server confirmed that and apologized, he went to go have it redone. Meanwhile, everyone else at the table was enjoying their food. He brought me a side plate to enjoy the side dishes and informed me that he got approval to comp me the steak because it was overcooked and I was not able to enjoy it while everyone else at the table had theirs. Kudos to the team at Flemings for getting it right. These are the kind of touches that keep people thinking of your establishment vs. writing you off forever. It only takes once."

Esin has been a neighborhood jewel since opening in 1998. The name Esin is not only the name of one of the owners but also means “inspiration”. The food is the passion of Chef & Owners Curtis and Esin deCarion. They strive to create cuisine that is fresh, seasonal, and prepared with great care. The fare is American with bits of Mediterranean influences. The wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast magazines.
Esin Restaurant & Bar relocated in July of 2008 to the Newest upscale lifestyle center The Rose Garden in Danville. The freshly designed dining room offers warm and comforting tones.
Be sure to save room for one of Esin’s fresh made desserts that have become so well known.

"Came here for a business lunch. Was greeted attentively and ordered a drink from the bar which I had sent over as the table was ready. Server was prepared with a plethora of specials and it was almost mind numbing as she had to get through them all quickly. We started with miyagi oysters which were absolutely delish. I customized my lunch by asking for fish instead of the standard chicken on my salad which was no big deal to them. Server continued to check in on us throughout the meal ensuring we had what we needed. Dessert presentation was long too which I liked because there were so many options. Unfortunately, I had to pass and went for a shot in the dark which I had to explain to the server what that was. It was a good time and good meal."

"This is a promising place that I would give a second chance to based on the server and management staff. First, it's dark and very hard to read the menu. But that was about the only complaint. Oyster appetizers were excellent. Steaks came out more cooked than requested so we sent them back. Second time was correct and the manager comped dessert because it wasn't done properly the first time. Later in the meal, the server accidentally knocked my glass of water over and I was a bit soaked. I took it in stride as it was only water, but somehow the server and management team ended up comping 2 of our steaks (the ones originally overdone). That was no small change. That left a good impression on the level of service they were willing to show and I would definitely give them another chance when in Scottsdale again."

"Chose this place based on OT reviews, but this is not someplace true sushi aficionados would go. It's a modern looking place with the sushi chef as the only Asian in the place. It's AZ after all. Given the inland nature of the restaurant, I asked how often the restaurant gets their fish and from where. I was met with a sour face by the waitress who begrudgingly went to go get what I expect was the owner. After sufficiently answering my questions about the fish, we ordered a small sashimi plate to try. Beyond that we ordered rolls to be a little safer. Nothing stood out as mind blowing, except maybe the sake. There was a really decent selection of sake. I'd also complain about the size of the menu as they try to squeeze a lot of content making the fonts really small and hard to read. Also, it felt amateurish in terms of ordering as you had to mark up a piece of paper to order what you want, but not everything on the paper was on the menu."

"Especially good this time because the server noted that we needed to catch a movie and therefore had the food come out at the right time. I always like coming here when I want American Chinese food because the seasonings are amplified and the ingredients are fresh."
