Rays on the Bay Restaurant is known for its fresh seafood, farm-to-table cooking, handmade artisan pizzas, local island favorites and the coldest beer on the Big Island. Guests will enjoy warm and welcoming service, ocean front views, live entertainment 7 days a week and of course the chance to see live Manta Rays feeding in the ocean directly in front of the restaurant. Rays is also the best spot to see a brilliant and romantic sunset while you gather with friends to enjoy hand crafted cocktails, pupus or dinner.

"It's been some time since I was at the Sheraton Keahou and I don't remember Rays the last time I was there. This was a nice surprise. Our server was very attentive to a fault. My daughter asked for mayo with her burger and received an outdated jar. The server went all over the restaurant and even to the other restuarant in the hotel. They came back with a couple packs of condiment size mayo and apologized for not having what she needed. They not only comped her meal, they gave her a dessert too. This was on top of the great view especially as the sun set and our table was situated with a great view even though we had 8. The food was worth its fare, but you kind of forget about the food when you have such great ambiance."

"Menu selection was terrific, service could have been a bit better. Tons of bus people standing around rather than tending to tables. Our server seemed overwhelmed with all the tables she had to handle especially as it got busier. Wasn't highly engaged either. Of course that has to be offset by the awesome view even with the threat of raindrops. Of the 3 establishments like this, I think Ray's down in Keahou is the better pick for overall service, scene, and price."

"The setting for Brown's is just awesome. Overlooking the water, with a musician for background music. And as the sun sets only in Hawaii is it magic! The food at Brown's is pretty good. A wide selection including land choices. Not an extensive wine collection if I remember right. The only thing keeping them from 5 stars is the amount of flies that were at our table as our food arrived. I have been to other settings like Brown's including Nick's at the Fairmont in Maui. There is something that can be done about the pests."

"Then you should love Imari. They do a great job at cooking the food to your liking. I had steak and lobster and it was done nicely. The service was very attentive and the sake recommendation was spot on. The teppanyaki chef was entertaining and engaging which is what people have come to expect with this kind of meal. On the expensive side so don't go with a light wallet. Take pictures around the grounds if you have a little time before seating."

"Get a bottle of your favorite wine and pay the $25 corkage fee. Pick off the menu a variety of sashimi, sushi, or land fare. It's all quite tasty. I did wish the table was a bit bigger for the three of us. The restaurant is small and seating is compact. Service is a bit above average. Our server was as attentive as other places have been and he really didn't know how to pour wine."

"I was amazed with the food at Doc Crow's. First they served raw oysters. Then when the sampler plate came it was off the chain! The brisket fell apart when I tried to fork it over to my daughter's dish. The pull pork was so tender and juicy. While I should have gotten the St Louis ribs, I got the baby backs and the meat just fell off the bone. We went as a party of 8 and then in the middle of everything added 8 more. Thanks to the staff for accomodating so we could all sit together. Server was awesome as he was on the ball and knew how to separate everyone's check. Wish we had something as good as Doc Crow's out here in the Bay Area, CA."

"This is the latest hot spot in Danville and it is certainly hopping. I wouldn't say it's spectacular and I think the hype actually set my standards too high. The food is tasty and depending on the dish, tastes vary. The shrimp bites were good as was the flat iron steak. Oysters were good, but a little too expensive for the area. The wine selection was extensive enough. We went as a couples' night out and decided to order a bunch of plates to share. Some of the plates were just not enough in terms of portions making the overall experience see more expensive. The bill can get up there quickly if you're trying a lot of plates."
