"This is the latest hot spot in Danville and it is certainly hopping. I wouldn't say it's spectacular and I think the hype actually set my standards too high. The food is tasty and depending on the dish, tastes vary. The shrimp bites were good as was the flat iron steak. Oysters were good, but a little too expensive for the area. The wine selection was extensive enough. We went as a couples' night out and decided to order a bunch of plates to share. Some of the plates were just not enough in terms of portions making the overall experience see more expensive. The bill can get up there quickly if you're trying a lot of plates."

"I've been to Roy's almost everywhere and this was my first venture to the SF location. My only criticism ever of Roy's was the locations of his restaurants. The only 2 standout locations I've ever been to were the Pebble Beach location at the Spanish Bay Inn and The Tavern at the Princeville Golf Course. Nonetheless, the food was amazing. Ahi appetizers were delish followed by the main course, "buttahfish" (pronounced as if with a Hawaiian accent)."

"Vegas always seems to include a meal at Lawry's. I don't know if it's the spinning salad, the prime rib, or the great service. There's not much to think about either. You order your cut of prime rib, your sides and the rest is done for you. While the outfits could use a refresh, the service remains outstanding. The prime rib is done the way you like and the only small ask I'd have is to offer a bit more after I'm done. At least House of Prime Rib in San Francisco does that. They operate very similar to Lawry's."

L.A.'s wildly popular Sushi Roku is now in the newly expanded Forum Shops on the Las Vegas Strip. With it's critically acclaimed Modern Japanese fare and Zen-like atmosphere, Sushi Roku is a favorite among both locals and visitors. "Every Vegas trip has contained at least one stop to Sushi Roku. They offer a great selection of premum sake along with some ecclectic sushi. They didn't disappoint this time around either. There are some specials worth looking at as well as the asparagus wrapped with beef. Portions are small so it will be easy to get carried away and find a whopping tab at the end. Eat slowly and consume sake!"
