"At founding farmers you get the feeling that everything you eat is fresh, sustainable, farm to table and homemade/made from scratch. That seems to resonate with DC-ers these days, as the city is ever looking for its fountain of youth and trying to age in a healthy way. FF offers a hip restaurant where you can go out and feel good about what you're eating, and also get some amazing handmade house made sodas while you're at. The grapefruit soda is not to be passed up. We met up with some vegetarian friends, and it's nice FF had many options for them to choose from. Service was also great considering how jam-packed the restaurant was on a Tuesday night."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.

"It's basically like dning in Paris, really, it is. The ambience is something to enjoy and take in more than anything else. Well, that and the pastry basket. We went for brunch and I could just eat french pastries all morning long. What I loved though is that you're not in France - the service is outstanding and not spotty as is often the case in Paris. And they were kid-friendly, woohoo! Our toddler daughter enjoyed every moment and they didn't make a fuss about bringing out a high chair or providing a side of fruit with my meal for her. The food is fantastic as well, but seriously, don't skip the pastry basket. Like heaven on a Sunday morning."
