EVOO, an acronym for extra virgin olive oil, serves eclectic, New American cuisine. We were named best Eclectic restaurant in Boston in the 2011/2012, 2009/2010 and 2007/2008 Zagat Guides! We use as many local ingredients as possible, and change items on our "Home Grown" menu daily. Produce from Verrill Farms, Eva’s Garden, Angelini Farm and various local farmers’ markets, livestock from Lovejoy Brook Farm and clams from Pat Woodbury are frequently on our menu.

"Had a nice lunch on a beautiful weekday afternoon. No crowds/lines/waiting - but it wasn't due to this restaurant. Food choices were interesting and tasty. I'll go back"

The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers New Orleans classics like Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Oysters "Muriel", Turtle soup, Fried Gulf Shrimp Po-boy, Crabmeat Imperial, Shrimp Remoulade & contemporary Creole cuisine like Pecan Crusted Drum & Wood Grilled Tuna while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks & appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville & when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's best bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan, & is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation & a drink amongst its plush surroundings.

"We visited NOLA for our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted a special place to have a good meal in the best clothes we brought. Muriel's exceeded what I had read. We couldn't have been more pleased - with the food, the staff/service, the drinks.. Wife and I came away very pleased."

The Met Bar & Grill is an offspring of the “modern” steakhouse which serves world class meat with an innovative approach. This stylish restaurant serves classic American fare with a touch of sophistication and comfort. The menu boasts something for every appetite. Try the traditional steakhouse options which are sure to please the carnivore in you or select from the Met Creations for more inventive dishes. A main feature of the Met Bar & Grill is the Met Burger Bar where the American Iconic Classic is served. Enjoy your burger simple and traditional or custom design it with a selection of fine meats, artisanal cheeses, fresh baked buns and choices of 48 toppings from around the world. Be transported across the globe on a “burger Journey”.

"took family so wife didn't have to cook - great food, drinks and dessert. Friendly staff. Just be mindful that burgers are their specialty - not too many other options (but enough) for those not wanting burgers. Try the sweet potato fries! Even my 15 yr old liked them"

"Took good friend for birthday lunch after a soothing massage from down the block. What a treat. Server was friendly and attentive and food was very good (as hoped). Will return - especially on a nice day to sit outside on Newbury where there's always an interesting view (or plural!)"
