The Fainting Goat is a genuine neighborhood tavern in a sophisticated atmosphere with funky chandeliers, cozy banquettes, and a laid back atmosphere. Our dishes are inspired by modern American cuisine with subtle notes of whimsy, made with only the freshest ingredients available locally whenever possible. The Fainting Goat serves as a meeting place for locals, whether it be for the happy hour specials, a laid back date, or late night drinks with friends.

"Arrived early and was seated promptly, which was their first mistake as they had far two few staff to serve a pretty full restaurant. No one spoke to us for 20 minutes. We caught the attention of a waiter (not ours) who took a drink order and 5 minutes later the bartender dropped off (so quickly and wordlessly she nearly spilled the wine) some wine. After 30 minutes no one had taken our order. After an hour no food had been served. They kept running out of bread so none was ever offered to our table. We left w/o being served which is the silver lining because the prices, especially given the service and ambiance, are pretty high. Hostess/manager did a commendable job of trying to hold it together but everything else conspired against her."

In a comfortable setting, just across the street from the historic Uptown Theater in Cleveland Park, Ripple offers a complete dining experience, with a focus on sustainability, organic and locally-acquired produce, and a good time. We are proud to support local farmers and co-ops in our mission to bring only the best products to the table.
Our award winning wine list features 50 wines by the glass and bottles starting at $25, with over 70 wines under $50. In addition, we have extensive beer and cocktail menus, to complete any meal.
Above all, we believe in hospitality and hope that everyone who dines with us will feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us. We truly are a place to eat, drink, and gather.
