"We started with some apps that could blow your mind like the tuna tacos FIFi tempura shrimp and some sushi. Fried hog fish was very good and so was sea bass. Good wine deals for Miami not over priced at all. Will be back soon"

Located in the heart of Miami’s emerging Midtown district, SUGARCANE raw bar grill is inspired by international influences and South American spirit. Three distinct kitchens: robata, hot and raw bar unite for a fresh take on tradition and a unique culmination of flavor. Embarking on quest for the simple pleasures of life: eating well, kicking back and celebrating with friends – the concept focuses on a ‘shared experience’ through its menu by Executive Chef & Partner Timon Balloo, featuring eclectic small plates, artisanal cocktails, an extensive rum selection and imported beers on tap. <br />

"We had a very nice time the other night. Service was just ok they forgot a few things we had ordered. It was not that busy, but the place looks under staffed. Servers running around trying to cover all the tables. Food was great though and the server recommendations were great. Bacon wrapped dates, Octopus, duck and waffles and some sushi was all very good."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.

"We went on Sunday night. It was good. Is it the best restaurant in this city, no. But, I also think it is not trying to be. They deliver as a great everyday restaurant. A little on the pricey side for just a night out with friends but I'm not sure why it seems to be the same price as everywhere else but for not much the bill got expensive. I like it here and it's just what this city needed."

Bobby Van’s Grill marks the return of the powerful New York City chop shop to the downtown D.C. area but with a new twist. This eclectic New American Steakhouse now boasts a slightly more casual family friendly atmosphere as well as catering to the Washington politician. This 536-seat D.C. destination is fully loaded! There’s four private, intimate and upscale dining rooms with their own bar and bar services. Two 40-foot long bars can be found with friendly bartenders serving strong drinks and even stronger conversations. The main dining room boasts views of both New York Avenue and the plush marble atrium of the adjoining building amidst its beautiful water fountain. This is an ideal place to meet for power lunches, family gatherings and late night dinners in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

"The new build out is very nice. The stone crabs are great, but very expensive. The steak was good to but not as good as other steak houses in town and still very expensive. Nothing blew my mind but the service was really very good for a new restaurant just at $200 a head you want the good to wow you too. Also impossible to get a drink at the bar but I guess that will change when it's not ten heads deep or the staff another bar tender."
