Chef Tim Ma a native Northern Virginian is dedicated to creating fun and innovative dining experiences. Leaving behind his career as an engineer, he attended the French Culinary Institute to pursue a profession in the food industry. Fast forward to the present, he opened his first restaurant in 2009 and Water & Wall in 2013. While he no longer operates his first restaurant, he is fully dedicated to make Water & Wall a restaurant for the community, he is opening Chase the Submarine in Vienna in summer 2015 and a restaurant in DC at the end of 2015.

"We went for brunch and were disappointed.
The server was not very good at listening and could not answer our questions about the menu and the availability of any of the dinner menu.
the brunch menu has a total of 8 food items on it. That is not hyperbole! 8! I got a patty melt and was not offered a temp. I asked for MR and it came out MW.
The server did not know if a vegetable option was available and did not even check for us. My wife's salad came out wrong.
I ordered decaf coffee and the bill said regular, so who knows what I really got.
In all, we will not be going back here.
the decor is stark and bare; not at all inviting."
