The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and décor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

"Enjoyed Terry Disley's music while spending time with friends. Service was excellent. The views awesome...including whale watching from their large picture windows. Spending the day walking, reading and more ocean gazing and watching people's reactions to spotting the whales. Then Larry Vukovich and friends at The Bach.... Perfect...."

Established in 1984. The word "Fontana" translates from Italian to mean "Fountain". The Fontana restaurant is named after "Fontana Rossa", a quaint mountain village outside of Genoa, Italy. It was known as the birthplace of Christopher Columbus' mother. Fontana's owner Charlotte Chiapellone's grandfather, as well as two other families, the Moscone's and the Mangini's, came from Fontana Rossa to San Francisco in the early 1900's. One of the members of the Moscone family became the mayor of San Francisco; his memory is still honored by a plaque in the piazza wall in Fontana Rossa for his financial generosity to the village church. Mangini became a prominent name on the San Francisco Peninsula. The Chiapellone's were involved in founding the Burlingame Garden Center and others were involved with the San Francisco Sunset Scavengers.

It's Italia opened in 1997 as a San Francisco style trattoria and pizzeria serving gourmet pizzas, house pastas, and creative salads, always with a California Italian flavor, and a wine list of 10-12 varietals. Ten years later, our menu has expanded to include steak and seafood grilled specialties, artful antipasti, and a decadent array of housemade desserts from our pastry chef. Over 120 bottles line up on our wine list from Italy, California, France, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. As always, we have remained faithful to a local coastal California Italian cuisine, with its cosmopolitan nature, bringing produce and cheeses from local farms, meats and poultry from quality and organic growers, and seafood from a variety of waters. Most importantly, we are a little local community restaurant that serves locals. Lots of locals! Our advertising is mostly word of mouth. Our energy is inviting, positive, and friendly, and when you come in, you are invited to be part of our family.

Caffe Delle Stelle is a classic Italian trattoria with comfortable neighborhood charm and destination-caliber cuisine. We use the best available local ingredients, organic meats, and vegetables. Our daily changing menu features soulful classics of Northern Italy, simply and earnestly prepared. Our homemade pastas, breads, and desserts are always fresh and prepared daily. Caffe Delle Stelle is located in the heart of the Hayes Valley neighborhood, within short walking distance of all the major performing arts venues of the Civic Center.

"The coconut-corn soup was a delicate puree; very pleasant. The sole was tender and tasty. Their cerviche varies in presentation; always good to the last drop."

Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event to auction the art. Proceeds will be donated to La Maison Chance, an orphanage in Saigon, Vietnam.

"Service is excellent, as is the food. Most remarkable was the corn fritters with shrimp; crisp fritter with perfect snippets of shrimp. The shaking beef and the basil tofu were perfectly prepared and seasoned. Portion sizes were generous. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying the food and conversation. We will be back."

SHI is a gorgeous new waterside Pan-Asian restaurant in Long Island City. Featuring a full bar and lounge it is the perfect spot to start a wonderful night on a date, or just friends going out together. It’s gorgeous dining room has floor to ceiling bay windows that showcase the entire city skyline like you have only seen in pictures. SHI's eclectic menu of Asian style serves Japanese style, Vietnamese style, Chinese style, and a full sushi bar as well. When the weather is warmer, seek the outdoor terrace for your dining pleasure. This sleek restaurant should be classified as sexy and fun.

"Service is excellent, portions large and most dishes are excellent. The Chicken Florentine was a bit dry - but from cooking and the type of cheese that was used. Each of the other dishes were great, including Parmesan Tilapia, Muscles, Veal Parmesan and the several salads that six of us shared. Plenty left over for each of us to take home. The leftovers we had, muscles and pasta and Veal Parmesan were terrific the next day. The best part was not being rushed -- we really had time to talk and enjoy spending time with each other."
