Locanda Verde is a casual, bustling neighborhood Italian taverna located in Robert DeNiro's TriBeCa hotel, The Greenwich. The airy, light-flooded space is open morning, noon and night serving award-winning Chef Andrew Carmellini's inspired urban Italian cooking with home-style desserts and an all-day bakery counter by pastry chef Nancy Tran.

"Love the rich, warm wood wall, with DeNiro Sr. artwork, back-lit bar. Only complaint - very small tables for parties of four. Food was fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious. The menu has crostini, appetizers, pasta and secondi. Note that the pasta dishes (all pasta made in-house) were relatively small, as they are intended as a middle plate. But with an appetizer, they also make a moderate sized meal. The sheep's milk ricotta crostini is quite filling - much more substantial than the other crostini. Bit disappointed with the lamb meatball sliders - the caprino (goat's cheese) flavor overwhelmed the more delicate lamb."
