DineAdvisor's Reviews

In 1982, NYC restaurateur Bart Ruggiero brought his famous recipes to downtown Matawan, selecting a location where suburban hospitality meets sophisicated appetites. Lunch and Dinner served in charming old cathedral ambience where homemade pastas, fresh fish and veal specialities are always on the menu. Bart's has built a reputation for the finest fresh made raviolis with a variety of fillings. Join us - we can't wait to meet you!! Enjoy al fresco dining on our beautiful patio from May - October.

This restaurant was a farmhouse from 1879 to 1969.

Now, it is winning OpenTable’s “Diner’s Choice Award” for Romantic. Now, if you Google “romantic restaurants” and you are close to Sea Girt, NJ, Scarborough Fair Restaurant will be the first result!

Yes, this restaurant has the most unique, romantic ambiance in Central New Jersey. It is like no place you have ever been to.

Have a spontaneous romantic dinner there. If you like quiet, and want to guarantee a romantic table, go on a week night. You will love the romantic atmosphere.

Enjoy our delicious eclectic cuisine in this neighborhood gem.

"Been here so many times. Although ownership has changed back and forth over the years, it has always been a favorite. Food is always great and the atmosphere is wonderful."

For 100 years, the Algonquin has been greeting and lodging the country's most prominent writers and literary personalities, as well as the leading figures of the American stage. The hotel is best known, perhaps, for the members of the Round Table, a group of luminaries who had in common both the ability to fire blazing witticisms and to withstand being on the receiving end of them. The tone they set during their daily meetings set the literary style of the 1920s. After World War I, Vanity Fair writers and Algonquin regulars Dorothy Parker, Robert Benchley and Robert E. Sherwood began lunching at the Algonquin. Though society columns referred to them as the Algonquin Round Table, they called themselves the Vicious Circle. "By force of character," observed drama critic Brooks Atkinson, "they changed the nature of American comedy and established the tastes of a new period in the arts and theatre."

"Walked in, had no clue who to talk to. Could not find restaurant desk and no one came to greet us. Sat at a decent table. Dinners were good. Pork was really tough. Would not order it again. Wife had shrimp dish and was plentiful. Our guests were moderately satisfied also. I don't think the waiter was as attentive as he could have been. Among other items, the bill had to be corrected. Was this an error or a hopeful bonus tip? It was ok but probably would not go back only because there are so many other choices."

At Delta's we combine exceptional food, soothing ambience and good old fashioned Southern hospitality to create what we hope will be an unforgettable experience.

When making a reservation please keep in mind:
-Reservations are held for 15min past reservation time
-The entire party must be present to be seated on busier nights

"Dinner was very good. It is a bar and football was on a dozen TVs so it was noisy. Overall we enjoyed dinner."
