Porters on the Lane features an American menu. Highlighting steaks and seafood. Served in casual atmosphere with a choice of dining areas & menu options for any palette. There are four dining areas to choose from as well as the bar - The main dining room is spacious with navy & white decor located at the front of the restaurant with windows overlooking the porch & Bellport lane. Then we have the fireplace room which is located in the back of the restaurant, this quaint room has beautiful ivory tin walls & ceilings. A working stone fireplace from floor to ceiling which always makes this room popular in the winter or for private parties! We also have seating in the bar section at high top tables. Then the last option is the front porch which is open seasonally & weather permitting. This is a beautiful space for outdoor dining & certainly the most requested area when available. <br />

"We have eaten here many times. Most of the times the food is very good. It was a little off. The arugula salad was not near as good as usual a little wilted and not dressed well. The Shrimp and Pasta special could have used seasoning and the Clams Casino were chopped . Who takes little necks and chops them? The order said 5 and I received 4. I mentioned my displeasure and the girl said Really. Hope it was just an off day."

Mirabelle Tavern is the epitome of coziness, with its casual atmosphere and combination of American comfort food and French bistro classics.Chef Reuge brings to the table the freshest and best local ingredients with emphasis on value. Long Island wines as well as other American vineyards are featured on a well chosen wine list. Fireplaces enhance the warmth of the Tavern and outside dining on our patio is available in warmer weather.

"We are long time fans of Chef Guy and are sorry to see the high end part of the Restaurant go. The same menu is now served in both the Tavern & Mirabelle Restaurant. The food was great as always but you have to negotiate the menu carefully. Had the lobster dish and could have eaten 2 more it was that small. Yet the Steak Tartare was a good size, yummie. Will still go to eat there because we love it."

A unique and relaxing dining experience located in the beautiful Sayville Village, highlighting Long Island and fine italian foods and wine. Rooted in traditional family recipes, we explore trends to create an enjoyable experience. La Tavola's staff and chef's will treat you to an "excellent" meal, as rated by Zagat!

"On the food most of it was very good , The fluke and shrimp was great as was the swordfish. My Linguine with clams was so-so but the pork chop was almost raw. I know the new thing is pink for pork but this was beyond pink. Usually the service is very good but this time it was terrible, The server gave everyone the wrong plates and then we had to shift the food around and the waitress did not come and check if we needed anything . It was not that busy so maybe new help? It's still not a bad place we will be back ."

"We don't usually eat in the theater district, but this was in walking distance so we gave it a try. The food was excellent. We choose from the prix fix because everyone found something they would have ordered anyway. The service was great and when the yummie bread basket was empty they brought more. The desserts were beautiful and tasted just as good. One of the best deals in that area"

"A very enjoyable dinner . The lobster Bisque was great as was the Seafood Risotto. Everyone liked there food from Steak to chicken and Seafood. One minor thing I found the Oyster Appetizer was very bland needs more seasoning. It would have been perfect but they did not have the NA beer that was on the menu or the Warres Port. Hope when we go back they will have them."

"This is one of my favorite lunch places. The problem is we were a large group 11 people and it seems as if they can't handle it. The waitress seemed harried and did not answer when someone called to her as she was walking away. All the plates that came with French Fries had soggy cold fries. I find the food and service better in small groups."

"Salads were large enough to share. Had spinach with fried oysters. The salad was great the oysters need to be crisp and however. The fish special was great and also the scallops and flounder and shrimp entree's. The only dish now really great was the gnocchi with lobster was dry and very sweet . Over all it's a nice place with good food."

"We tried Bar American again and I was disappointed again. The Prix Fix At $35. is cheap but the salmon was as dry as the cedar plank it came on and the secret receipe chicken should remain a secret. It was a HUGH thigh and tasteless except for the sauce. The chopped salad is HUGH and chopped a little to fine for my taste, you didn't know what you were eating. I wish they would get their act together . Service is good,"

"As always the food is great and the prices reasonable. Chopped salad is a meal. My husband still misses the mixed grill. We miss our favorite waitress Shelby. We had Kerby and I asked for extra salsa and he forgot. I did not like the fact that he was clearing dishes before we were done eating. Guess he is new."
