Known worldwide as the ultimate destination for chocolate, Max Brenner is the perfect place to eat… and indulge. Fill up on Really Crunchy Mac & Cheese, a pressed waffle sandwich or our ever-popular Brenner Burger. But save room, because the main course is dessert. Experience chocolate to the fullest and enjoy hot chocolate, Choctails, fondues, sugar waffles and more. Our most iconic dishes are served in specially-designed ceramic utensils, turning chocolate consumption into a chocolate ceremony. So double dip, lick your fingers and forget to share because at Max Brenner there aren’t rules – all you have to do is really love chocolate.

"We came here for brunch on my sons' final day of spring break. The food menu looked amazing, and we all took a long time to decide. Although it was a very SLOW Tuesday, the waitress was not very attentive. She didn't set the table until we asked for napkins and silverware, after appertizers and drinks were splattered on table. The hot chocolate was my younger son's favorite thing. It took 20-25 mins for our food to be served. The roast beef and prosciutto waffles were disappointing since they were served cold. The pulled pork sandwich was good. Although it smells like "chocolate heaven," the overall experience was disappointing. Service and food must be much worse on busy weekends in USQ. I do not recommend Max Brenner."

North River is a restaurant in New York City's East Village serving modern New York State fare. Named for the Hudson—the waterway that for so long, has brought so much worth eating to New York City—North River pulls the very best produce, dairy, fish, and meat from our neighbors and turns it into dinner nightly. (And into brunch on the weekends.)

Our cocktails are rooted in American classics from a simpler time, but have modern elements, shaken and stirred to impress and/or intoxicate. There is beer and wine too.

Our dining room is casual and our service educated, a balance we look to strike in all things we do.
"From the host to the waitress, everyone was very nice, attentive and informative. As a starter, my son & I decided to try the pig ears which we've never seen on any menu in NYC. The waitress described it perfectly and we enjoyed it (with some hesitation...it's just the idea of it). My 5 large crab meat raviolis were not particularly tasty...sort of bland. The wrap could've just been a bit thinner and the filling needed more salt or spices. My son enjoyed the lamb stew, but there was not much of it. We had the pecan pie dessert which was the best part of the meal. We didn't feel sated because of the small portions. Although the food could be a bit more flavorful, I would recommend this place for a dinner date,"

"As always the food was very good and the waiter was attentive. We love the duck pizza which was very filling. You will be pleasantly surprised by the high-quality meals which not typically "bar" food. Highly recommend."

"Based on the great reviews, we decided to try this bistro that I missed when I attended NYU. The seating and tables etc are a bit worn and old which made me doubt my choice. However, as soon as the food was served, it proved itself and all the reviews to be true. The ribs were perfectly prepared as well as my friend's tortellini bolognese. The waiter(s) were attentive and accommodating. In spite of the fact that the place lost some electrical power later in the evening, we liked this place very much. Without electric power, they could not make lattes or swipe credit cards. Fortunately I had plenty of cash in my wallet. We will definitely be back again soon."

Ethos—it is that which guides, a character, a moral. At Ethos, we very much adhere to the root of this word. Our menu guides you to the sun-drenched islands of Greece, as we embrace the rich character of its traditional dishes. We adhere to a strict moral code using only the highest quality extra virgin olive oil from Crete and fresh fish flown in daily from the Mediterranean.
Inside the modern ambiance there are threads of the traditional Greek eateries woven with the stylish island chic of Mykonos. We invite you to celebrate our centuries-old recipes, like fava from Santorini, all telling a new story of modern Greek cuisine with traditional ingredients taking inventive turns.
Prepared traditionally, re-imagined contemporary. our Ethos is an adherence to the purity of the sea and the sun, the freshness of our ingredients and the spirit of our beautiful culture.
“Ya mas” as we say in Greece, or “To Our Health”.
"Always a great dining experience at Ethos. The wait staff is consistently friendly and helpful. My group of friends always enjoy everything. However, it was quite a shock to see our high bill. The pre-mixed, raspberry-infused margarita was delicious and everyone had 2 glasses. We were quite surprised that it cost $16 each. We certainly did not appreciate the waiter promoting this item constantly on hindsight. In any case, we recommend this restaurant for its fine food which is always fresh and well seasoned."

Named after a notoriously elusive rum-running prohibition ship, the Black Duck resides in a beautifully restored 18th century brownstone. Besides the the historical landscape, we offer an array of Contemporary American delicacies served by candlelight. The romantic yet New England inspired décor perfectly compliments the backlit alabaster bar. Our elegant and cozy lounge with a fireplace is perfect for a happy hour drink (served daily from 4:00 - 7:00) or to enjoy the live Jazz performed Friday and Saturday evenings. We end the week by playing the James Bond Film Series on our dining room projector.
"I've been to the Black Duck over the past 5 years, the food is consistently good. I especially love the crab cake. Their signature dish, the duck is usually good, but occasionally it's less memorable and just passable. I love that there's a working fireplace during the winter. I've never sat at the bar, but they put a flat screen t.v. with sports there a while ago. I believe that the crowd is half locals like myself and the others are tourists who are staying in the hotel which houses this restaurant. Our friendly waiter Henry informed us that the restaurant will be closed from Monday, March 17. The ownership of the restaurant and hotel will be renovating both the lobby and the restaurant for next 10 months."

"We're back for the food which is delicious every time. I had the duck pizzette which was really delicious. It was actually big enough for 2 people to share. The duck was perfect (with no fat at all). The thin crust was well flavored and ideal bed for goat cheese etc. My son enjoyed the seared tuna very much. The place was a bit noisy this time, but it's Saturday. Some of the comedians were waiting in the bar area before they were to perform downstairs where the comedy show is held. Very happy with the consistently well prepared, "un" bar-like menu. The chef is well trained for sure. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back. (And the waiter from our 1st visit 2 wks ago, returned my credit card to me before I sat down!)"

A Livanos' family creation, Molyvos is the closest you can get to Greece in New York City. Critics agree that Molyvos serves perhaps the finest example of Greek cuisine in New York, and beyond. People from around the world have discovered that Molyvos serves the true foods and wines of Greece, along with a large dose of the country’s warm and lively spirit. Molyvos’ menu is built upon the home-style cooking of Greece using authentic recipes, classical cooking techniques and superior ingredients. The wine list, under the keen direction of Kamal Kouiri, is unique for its depth and breadth of excellent Greek labels and small producers from the Mediterranean whose wine deserves to be enjoyed. Molyvos also boasts a carefully selected Pre and Post-theatre menu that perfectly accompanies an evening of entertainment.

"We came here during Restaurant Week to celebrate a birthday. Some of us ordered a la carte and some of us ordered from the special menu. Every dish from the appertizers to the dessert were delicious. I especially enjoyed the octopus salad which was perfectly balanced with protein, leaf, legumes, seasoning and dressing. I also loved the dessert made with phyllo on the Restaurant wk menu. The salmon; the roasted chicken, moussaka were all prepared to perfection. Waiter and wait staff were perfectly attentive. Highly recommend Molyvos. We'll definitely be back."
