Red Stripe is a traditional brasserie with an edge. Classic, and unique. Red Stripe has the distinction of being upscale yet relaxed, where you will find people from all walks of life enjoying their dining experience. Red Stripe serves comfort food with a French influence – simple in context, yet refined in taste. Food that is reasonably priced and made with passion! Come try one of our originals – like the mouth watering Red Stripe Grilled Cheese, made with prosciutto, poached pear and basil; accompanied by our oven roasted tomato soup or hand cut frites and aioli (surely unlike any grilled cheese you’ve had before) or our wide selection of moules (ten to be exact!) always a house favorite!
Red Stripe is located on the East Side of Providence in bustling Wayland Square and was recently awarded “Best Neighborhood Restaurant” by Rhode Island Monthly.

"We were planning a trip to Rhode Island last year, discovered this restaurant on Open Table, and took a chance. It is off the beaten track and in a neighborhood that you would not expect to find such a quality establishment. We had a fabulous experience. So when we returned to the area recently we went again. Still tremendous! The Beef Bourginon was tender , ribs were meaty, and muscles were tasty. Our only complaint was that the creme broule was over-cooked. Our waiter overheard us, much to our embarrassment, brought over the Manager, and naturally they were all apologetic and offered us whatever replacement we wanted. Other than that, it was another great family meal.
On a side note, all the waiters last year had beards (the men, that is.) We went back in part to check on that, as one of my sons has a full one. Alas, some had shaved, however our waiter from last year still sported his."

Winston was born out of a desire among local residents for a quality of dining that is "honest and approachable." The New American cuisine offers seasonal produce and classic culinary technique. A deep roster of new and old world wines, handcrafted draft beers and house cocktails compliment the extensive dining menu. All of this is served in our comfortable townhouse setting, reminiscent of the Hudson Valley's classic tavern traditions.

The three-story restaurant features a gastropub ground floor, fine-dining on the second floor, and an open-air rooftop bar & lounge - the only of its kind in Mount Kisco. Each floor features slightly different menus, all tied together by a unified theme and approach. Winston's multi-level space speaks to the factories and artisan shops of the area's rich history, highlighting the original brick, steel, and wood features. Within this handsome and comfortable aesthetic, each floor was designed with flexibility in mind.

"We had a group of 8 for gals night out. The private back room was perfect for us. Food is tasty, but overpriced. Still, the restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood, and it's architect won an award from the American Institute of Architects for the design."
