"We both started with the Caesar salad which was excellent. Husband had the 1/2 rack of pork ribs with French fries and cole slaw. He said they were very good; moist and the meat came easily off the bone. A generous helping of fries and cole slaw, which I tasted - it was great. I had two medallions of filet mignon which came with a slightly zesty peppercorn sauce, red-skinned mashed potatoes, that were still a little chunky (I like them that way) and sauted mixed vegetables. I ate everything. We both had the cheesecake - a huge serving with fresh strawberries and whipped cream."

"We both had the Caesar salad. Husband had the beef filet with risotto and roasted asparagus. I had the salmon with diced potatoes and lightly sauted brussels sprouts. For dessert, husband had the chocolate gelato and brownie. I had the bread pudding. Everything was very good and nicely plated."

Located minutes from Chesapeake Bay on the water is One Fish-Two Fish. We offer an alternative to formal dining, it's what we call "fun dining." The atmosphere is "upscale without the uppity." This unique feeling is created by a casual waterfront environment with boat access. The restaurant is centered around the Exhibition Kitchen with panoramic views of the Bay. The menu incorporates a blend of California style with fresh, local seafood. The wine list focuses on "boutique style" wines and is consistently recognized with the Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence." Stephen Michaels, owner, and his staff strive to make this venue high energy but still elegant. The only thing we overlook is the water. See you there.

"Crab bisque was thick and creamy. The salmon was a generous piece, cooked to order. The white chocolate bread pudding was yummy and not overly sweet. Everything was great!"

If you don’t live in Ghent, La Bella will make you want to move there just so you can claim this Italian charmer as your neighborhood Italian Bistro.

In 2007, a family tradition was carried out from Andrea Di Carlo, combining the warmth of the traditional Italian dining experience with signature family recipes from the original Trattoria La Bella Italia in Virginia Beach on Laskin Road. Fresh ingredients and careful preparations aren’t surprising, given that chef-owner Andrea DiCarlo learned from his mother, Anna Alaimo, making fresh pasta with her since he was a young boy at the Virginia Beach location.

"My brother started with the antipasti. Beautifully presented and he said it was great. Two of us had the tortelloni with mushrooms and peas, the other two had the seafood pasta. Everything was very good."

"I had the duck confit with mushroom risotto and a salad with a divine wine dressing. The duck was so moist and the risotto was not all stuck together. The apple bread pudding with caramel sauce was sinful. Not overly sweet and very buttery. It's a small place, but a good-size counter for single or couples dining. Friendly staff. We'll be back."

In a casual yet elegant atmosphere, set in a recently remodelled century old historic train station, Claire's passion is great food and outstanding service. Offering contemporary American cuisine - local, seasonally focused - with a Southern flaire. The renovation honors the historic character of the Warrenton Train Depot, resulting in a warm, comfortable environment for casual meetings with friends, or special occasions and intimate family meals. The warm, elegant Garden Room provides seating for intimate meals, while the Tavern Room features a more casual dining experience in luxurious surroundings. A rotating selection of craft beers is available on tap, and the wine service is regularly expanded. Outdoor dining is available in season, and private events can be hosted in one of several areas in the restaurant. Awarded "Best of Warrenton" every year since 2006.

"We each ordered something different. Ann had the crab cake sandwich and fries. It was blue crab and she said it had some filler. The fries were nice and crispy. Mom had the chicken curry. It had a creamy sauce, lots of chicken. It came with peanuts, chutney and cucumber raita over a very fine rice. She said it was outstanding. I had the butternut squash risotto - delish and not stodgy. A very nice slice of wheat bread came with our lunches. And the coffee is always great."

"We can always count on our dinner here to be great. Husband had the swordfish special, which came with crabmeat, mussels and scallops, accompanied with a garbanzo bean cake, Carolina greens and a light cream sauce. He started with the caesar salad. I started with the pumpkin soup, spicey and smokey, topped with pecan bits. I had the flounder special - two large pieces of grilled flounder topping a cauliflower risotto, with Carolina greens in a butternut cream sauce. Oh my. We barely had room for the creamy pumpkin cheesecake, which we split."
