"I had one of the specials, Beef Wellington w/sautéed spinach in a wine sauce. The beef was extremely tender. They missed putting on some pate on the beef and the wine sauce was a bit overpowering. I started with the fresh kale salad; a nice change from lettuce. Husband had another special, sheepshead fish topped with crabmeat and shrimp. He opted for the risotto rather than potatoes. I forgot what veg he had, but he ate everything."

"We've had dinner there a couple of times, but this was our first time for lunch. It did not disappoint. We had a nice table overlooking the Sound. I had the fish tacos and husband had the crab cake. Both were very, very good. Service was great."

"We went for lunch. Husband had the reuben sandwich with fries & I had the salmon crab cake with tazikia sauce & side of cole slaw. I'm not a reuben fan, but husband thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were yummy, crispy & hot. I had the salmon burger and asked the waiter not to include the cucumber salad on the sandwich. The burger was delicious with an ample portion of salmon which was nice and moist. I really liked the sauce, too. The bun wasn't thick and heavy, either."

"Ironically, we were seated at the same table with a great view of the dancing lights on the Oakland Bridge. We started with the calamari - loved the smoked pepper aioli. Husband had the Cornish game hen and I had one of the seafood specials. Both were very good. We split the tiramisu, which was the best we'd ever had - espresso chocolate cake with mascarpone. Service was great and timely."

At Sauce, we serve what we like to call "Social Cuisine" - American comfort fare so good you'll want everyone at the table to try a bite. It's shared food without the tiny plates. Come sample Chef Ben's creations along with wine or hand crafted cocktails in our new location. Enjoy outdoor patio dining, or grab a table inside. We welcome parties of all sizes, come experience what happens when Comfort Food meets California Cuisine — it could be our Tomato Bisque with white truffle grilled cheese sticks; Portobello mushroom fries; or our signature applewood-smoked-bacon wrapped meatloaf, something is sure to tickle your fancy . Stop by for lunch during the week or dinner any night between 5pm and 2am and see for yourself; what's cooking, we guarantee the kitchen until 1:30am every night.

"We sat outside for dinner; it felt festive and everyone seemed to be having an enjoyable evening. Husband ordered the beef stroganoff with grilled asparagus. I had the pork osso bucco with sautéed kale and fried parmesan polenta sticks. Both of our meals were wonderful and large portions. My pork was very tender as was the kale. And the polenta sticks were addictive. I tasted my husband's stroganoff; so beefy and served over wide noodles. We split the ice cream smash for dessert - coffee ice cream with marshmallows, salted caramel and chocolate sauce. It was the BEST ice cream I've ever had."

"We went for lunch. It was so frustrating as there were too many things on the menu we wanted to order. Husband had the Croque Madame and I had the Croque Monsieur. They were the BEST we'd ever had. Buttered bread that had been lightly grilled, filled with sweet, moist ham and cheese, topped with bechamael sauce, with another piece of buttered grilled bread, then topped with lots of grilled cheese. Oh so decadent! Husbands came with an over easy egg. Both came with a pretty side salad with a light, creamy balsamic dressing."

"We came here cuz I wanted breakfast and husband wanted lunch. This was a great choice. I had the Italian cheese scramble; mild Italian sausage, fontina cheese, 'shrooms and tomatoes. On the side was a delicious serving of polenta - a great change of the normal house potatoes, plus 2 pieces of toast. Husband was happy with his Italian sub, filled with four different meats, cheese, tomatoes and fresh lettuce."

Belden Taverna is an Italian Steakhouse. The cuisine is a memorable blend of bold flavors and elegant refinement. We serve contemporary American classics, beautiful Mediterranean themed salads, fresh seafood dishes and we use nothing but California farm fresh produce.

"We split the roasted beet salad with arugala, bleu cheese, roasted almonds with balsamic dressing; very tasty. The bread was ver good, too. I had the half order of spaghetti with dungeness crab, grilled corn, asparagus, garlic and sliced jalapeno. It was quite tasty. There were a couple of other pasta dishes to have as a half order. Husband had beef, three ways - which was a grilled filet, marrow with toasted seasoned bread crumbs and another preparation of beef, served with mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and a wine enhanced gravy. He had the chocolate mousse for dinner. Creamy, not overly sweet with a huge dollop of whipped cream. We sat upstairs, as outdoors was packed. Deep red walls with warm lighting. Service was great."

John's Grill has been a San Francisco tradition since 1908. This historic restaurant is one of the city's oldest and most famous and is a favorite of celebrities who enjoy great steaks, expertly prepared fresh seafood with excellent service and a one of a kind atmosphere. John's Grill was a setting in author Dashiell Hammetts, The Maltese Falcon. The restaurant has earned many tributes: it has been chosen as one of the 10 best by Esquire and featured in Gourmet Magazine. Live jazz nightly in the upper level dining room.

"Husband ordered the rib eye. He said it was basic, no flavor/seasoning. I had the chef's fish which was red snapper topped with crab and shrimp, topped with a lemon sauce. Oh my, what a glutinous mess that came instead! The fish was hot - only good thing. The shrimp were those really tiny shrimp, the crab meat totally disappeared in the sauce that barely tasted of lemon. It didn't even look appetizing! Both entrees came with crispy green beans, a couple of pieces of broccoli and ONE tiny carrot. The "baked" potato was baked, but seemed like it was nuked again before it was put on the plate. And for what we paid for these awful meals...."
