Norli's Reviews

For world class live music, New Orleans inspired cooking, and that laid back Big Easy vibe, there"s only one place in Washington DC to go. Located at 2519 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, just steps from the Foggy Bottom metro, Bayou brings together the award winning cuisine of executive chef Rusty Holman, hand crafted New Orleans cocktails, and a rotating line-up of both local and national recording artists. With two funky floors of dining and dancing, Bayou suits any occasion. Whether it's grabbing a quick po'boy at lunch, sitting down to a three course dinner, watching the game with a cold Abita, or grooving the night away in our intimate concert space, Bayou is DC's number one spot to laissez les bons temps rouler.

Open for Lunch and Dinner Tuesday-Sunday
Brunch served Saturdays and Sundays.

"Great service, really good Abitha ale, decent food. Would try it again just to see if the po'boys are as good as the hype."

"The Thai dishes are standouts, but you better like them spicy (I do) because they certainly are. Other than the spring rolls, which were marvelous, the Vietnamese dishes we tried were less exciting, and I would not again order either the sable fish or the beef. They weren't bad - just ho-hum."

Since 1999, Chef Wiedmaier infuses his Belgian heritage into Marcel's elegant haute French flagship restaurant. Regularly topping the best-of-lists in the nation's capital, in 2011 and 2012, it was rated the top restaurant for food by Zagat as well as one of the top five restaurants for service.

"Everything we tried was good, but the rockfish was incredible. A favorite place of ours in DC."
