Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.

From the team behind Ripple in Cleveland Park, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Roofers Union, a new restaurant now open in Adams Morgan. The menu at Roofers Union will showcase chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley's take on casual tavern fair inside a neighborhood restaurant and bar.

The bar program will focus on craft beers and cocktails as well as 10 to 12 wines by the glass on a moderately priced list from around the world.

A cozy and relaxed first level houses a cocktail-centric bar with 24 seats, while the main level features floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the restaurant with natural light and of Adams Morgan’s bustling 18th Street. The vibrant dining room will offer full service with a range of seating options including a revamped 20- seat bar, tables for large groups, and banquets.
"Although pleasant when there, server was not attentive. Homemade sausage was very good, though, and being up on the rooftop was great. Process for getting a rooftop table is rather odd, though. If you make a reservation, it is for the main dining room only. If you want a table upstairs, you need to go up there yourself to see if anything is available. Then your reservation downstairs apparently is not automatically cancelled unless you or one of the upstairs staff calls down, which does not seem to be an automatic procedure."
