Breathing new life into Lower Fifth Avenue, Claudette is an elegant Provençal restaurant steps from Washington Square Park. Opened in May 2014, Claudette joins her sister restaurants Rosemary's and Bobo in offering a warm and inviting atmosphere to share great food with friends and family.

Executive Chef Wade Moises and Chef de Cuisine Koren Grieveson's menus focus on local produce, seafood and Mediterranean aromatics found in the Provençal kitchen. Claudette's cellar highlights the wines of Southern France, with a wide selection of Rose and Chateauxneuf du Pape. The bar offers a list of unique aperitifs, cocktails and an extensive vin au verre selection, including rose on tap.

"Claudette is a fitting remake of a classic Village restaurant spot at fifth ave and 9th st. It is beautifully decorated with a warm mediterrean feel. Even though tables are close, you can still feel like you have your own space. As a vegetarian I rarely go to French oriented restaurants as they have little to offer. At Claudette although there was only one pasta entree for me, there were several inventive tapas like appetizers that made for a satisfying meal. Service was attentive but just didn't quite give me a dive star feel. It was packed at 6:30 on a Sunday. Def will be back."

Almond, an American bistro located in New York City’s bustling Flatiron District, combines the best of farm-to-table cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere.
Co-owner and Executive Chef Jason Weiner offers a menu of accessible dishes that put market-fresh ingredients center stage. Classic Almond dishes include Steamed Black Mussels with Shallots and White Wine and Roast Chicken with Hand-Crushed Potatoes and Natural Jus, while a list of “plats du jour” range from Roasted Whole Fish to Heritage Farms Porkchop to Rack of Lamb.
Our wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines from regions across France and California. A specialty cocktail list, New York state craft beer selection, and raw bar selections are all available, along with our entire menu, at the restaurant’s spacious 20-seat bar.

Private dining spaces are perfect for larger parties and a hidden European-style billiards room adds to the restaurant’s charm.

"I dont understand when a restaurant cannot offer one entree or even a sandwich that is vegetarian. Food is OK but not as good as it has been in the past."

Tradition and innovation collide in a whirlwind of sight, sound and sabor at El Vez, STARR Restaurants’ exciting and inviting contribution to Lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City community.

Casual yet contemporary, El Vez celebrates the festive soul of Mexican and Mexican-American culture, a true south-of-the-border spirit that manifests itself in the restaurant’s attitude and atmosphere. The breathtaking space is a feast for the eyes with imaginatively designed dining areas, a large bar outfitted with a photobooth, a wrap-around landscaped patio for dining al fresco and a burrito bar for food on the go.

With deep roots in regional Mexican cooking, the menu is built around guacamoles, fundidos, ceviches, tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas made from scratch with authenticity in mind. Meanwhile, the bar offers a large selection of creative cocktails, signature margaritas and staggering selection of 150 mezcals and tequilas.

"Very excited to have El Vez in the neighbor, which is so lacking of exciting dining establishments. The design is really fun from the pseudo diamond encrusted skulls, ala , to the Elvis portraits. Service was top notch and extremely accommodating. This restaurant understands that restaurants are in the hospitality industry. The food was not the best Mexican Ive had and a bit disappointing. Maybe that will ramp up over time. The tastes were all a bit one dimensional. The staff said they are very happy to make food to order though. Margaritas were excellent. Go visit!"
