Thomas Keller’s ad hoc, which literally means "for this purpose," was originally intended to be a temporary restaurant, open during the development of a very different concept. But, due to its loyal following, it was decided that it must be a permanent fixture in Yountville. ad hoc serves a prix fixe, 4-course chalkboard menu, changing daily. Food is served family style and reminiscent of the comfort food with which Chef Keller grew up.

"We went for an early afternoon wine pairing "snack". It's actually a great meal for lunch.
They create a menu to go with their wines and it is excellent.
Small group setting at the winery and they explain each course and wine.
This is the second time we've been there and we are still impressed with it.

Terra Restaurant has been a leading restaurant in the Napa Valley since 1988. Set in a historic field stone building, Terra gives you the feeling of the Napa Valley, or some have said the French country side. We are proud to be part of such an important area not just for food but also for wine (Our family owns Quixote Winery). We are, Hiro and Lissa the chef/owners of Terra and love to work closely with the local growers for our vegetables and the farms that raise the meats we serve. Incredible dairies that make the cheese and the fishermen that bring in the catch we serve. The connection to the land and the people is why we love what we do. Terra serves a prix fix menu of 4, 5 or 6 courses. Terra has received a Michelin Star since the first award in 2007 and each year since then. Hiro Sone received the James Beard Award for Best Chef California in 2003 and Terra received James Beard Award for Outstanding Service-2008. The San Francisco Chronicle gave Terra & Bar Terra 3 1/2 stars.

"Every time we visit we have an outstanding "to die for" dinner. It's gourmet "tapas". Hiro Sone is a genius and very creative. From the hamachi crudo; risotto with nettles; Aqua Pazza...ir was all excellent. The waiters are knowledgeable and friendly and attentive yet never intrusive. How can such a great restaurant be so elegant yet unpretentious!"

Highly acclaimed chef Thomas Keller (of The French Laundry) is behind this beautiful Yountville restaurant. Enjoy excellent French bistro cuisine in a dining room offering wonderful Parisian ambiance.

We invite you to visit Bouchon Bakery, an authentic, country-style boulangerie located next door Bouchon Bistro. The Bakery serves traditional French breads and pastries and is open from 7am - 7pm daily.

"We've been there several times and the service was always excellent. This last time our waitress was slow, disinterested and inattentive.
Service was extremely slow with no apologizes. We waited and waited between courses.
The food was good as usual. I would have given it five stars but the portion of roast pork belly while delicious - but so tiny.

"You must have the paella! But get there early before they run out. Good portions to share family style and try a lot of delights. The crusted trout was superb. So was the octopus. So tender. Out of ten items we tried the only thing that I would not order is the crispy pig's ear which was soggy."
