"Everything was done so well....the pomegranate margarita was a great start. The Shrimp with Grits -- unexpected and delicious. And the main courses were equally outstanding -- the salmon on a cedar plank (best I ever had), and the Duck Confit -- perfect! When we left, we were already planning on when we could return!"

"The service was outstanding -- and the food was delicious. The garlic bread with blue cheese fondue -- not a crumb left on the plate -- so tasty and addictive! The Delmonico Steak -- and the Filet Mignon were both cooked to perfection. AND then we had dessert -- we had the Baked Alaska and it truly exceeded our expectations."

"...and with all the options in NYC, this one is worth a visit, or two, or three, etc.
The service was attentive and friendly -- and the food was delicious. Their Grilled Octopus Salad is a must -- plenty to share -- and could also be a meal by itself. The octopus was prepared to perfection. We will return to this great find."

Zio Ristorante, offers dishes influenced by flavors of the Mediterranean as well as seasonality. Lunch includes paninis and grilled pizza specialties, from a traditional Caprese, to a Crudo topped with prosciutto, stracchino cheese and arugula. Chef Max always uses the freshest ingredients and builds his menu around the seasons. Homemade pappardelle with lamb ragu & a glass of red wine will nicely round out the meal. A selection of meat and fish entrees will remain as choices as well. The dinner menu is organized by antipasti, soups/fresh salads, pizzas, pastas, as well as a tantalizing selection of meat and fish dishes. Signature dishes to start include the Riso al Salto, a crunchy saffron risotto cake, bone marrow, and gremolata sauce, to the Polipo e Panelle, a grilled octopus, with chickpea cake and chicory. "The food and service was outstanding. We started with clams -- delicious and fresh. We had duck breast -- and the red snapper -- both were delicious. We ended with coffee and the bread pudding -- a perfect ending. We highly recommend frequenting this restaurant."

Churrascaria Plataforma Brazilian Steakhouse is a Rodizio style restaurant. Rodizio is a method of serving meat that originated in the south of Brazil in the early 1800's. The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef - sirloin, baby beef, top round, skirt steak, short ribs, brisket, rib eye; pork - ham, pork ribs, sausage, pork loin, suckling pig; chicken - chicken legs, chicken hearts; turkey - wrapped in bacon; lamb, fish, etc. in succession, to each diner individually right at their table. A meal typically begins with a trip to the gourmet salad bar, which features a variety of vegetables and composed salads in addition to four hot dishes. We also serve a selection of side dishes at your table. The main course, the highlight of the meal, will start when you flip your coaster-sized "chip" from the red side to the green side, signaling the meat cutters you're ready to be served.

"In order to enjoy the abundance of meat and the plentiful salad bar, you need to put up with some negatives -- noisy and almost chaotic atmosphere -- side dishes that we couldn't even touch due to poor taste, cold, and not good at all. They used to have a location that was down in Tribeca and it was so much more enjoyable (for its service, ambience, all food, etc.)."

Classic Gotham Steakhouse located in the ultra chic Meat Packing District, established in 1868. The restaurant maintains it's strong relationships with their butchers, allowing them to get their first pick of beef. Nothing but prime dry aged meat - always has been and always will be. Winner of the 2006 Wine Spectator Award. Lobsters ranging in sizes from 4 - 13 lbs., sushi grade tuna, sockeye salmon, Colossal crab meat and shrimp so big they are referred to as small bananas.

"We were so looking forward to our late lunch at this place. All was going very well until it didn't. What we realized happened is that staff BOLT out of there when their shift ends.....and there is a lag before the next shift is ready to take over. So after we finished our meal, we sat for quite a long time (more than 20 minutes!) without anyone taking away our dishes, leaving us with empty drinks, etc. We had to find someone to help us. By the time that they did offer us dessert and coffee, we were ready to get out of there. There are so many steakhouses in NYC -- so I am not sure I would give this one another chance (although the food, atmosphere, and initial service were quite good)."
