As MH Reed observed in the New York Times in February 2008, “Red Hat is so close to the river in Irvington that when the wind is up and the waves slap the shore, their icy spray covers the riverside path to the restaurant.” The two level, French bistro-inspired eatery is housed in a hundred -year -old factory building that has been transformed to feature an uninterrupted, 180 degree view of the river from the main and loft dining levels. Guests will enjoy the seasonal, Hudson Valley ingredients, as well as French bistro classics.

"When a restaurant has a great view the food is usually bad, not here, the food is well presented, tasty and has a great view. The glass everywhere in this old foundry on the Hudson River offers excellently presented tasty food including salmon, house made boudin with sweet potato salad, delicious onion soup well though out salads and house made rolls. The views are beautiful and can only imagine when we come back in warm weather how eating outside or drinking on the rooftop bar. The staff is friendly and knowledgable."

Chef Michael Psilakis introduces his award-winning Greek-inspired cuisine to Westchester with the opening of MP Taverna, a modern interpretation of a traditional Greek tavern. MP Taverna’s accessible menu brings Psilakis’ Greek fare into the American culinary lexicon and is another step towards the chef’s goal of putting Greek cuisine on the culinary main stage. “The memories I have of cooking with my family are the inspiration for my restaurants, and I hope my guests create their own memories through their dining experiences at MP Taverna,” says Chef Michael Psilakis. “I want MP Taverna to be a destination for more than just a celebratory meal; a place that conjures the familiarity of your dining room table at home.”

"Food is flavorful, not expensive, but not cheap. The portions are good, but the entrees are on the small side for the price. The menu offers an upscale Greek infused flavor in a tightly packed dining room. The chairs are uncomfortable, but the service is warm, yet inexperienced. We would return for Mezze and smaller dishes."

Shore Diner is a fresh new American restaurant with a nod to Florida's<br />Mid-Century. Great place for a casual lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch in a warm, modern environment.
