American cuisine with European accents, served in a spacious room with soaring ceilings, gorgeous theatrical vintage posters.

"Thalia used to have very good food and I always enjoyed eating there when in the theatre district. I hadn't been there in awhile and should have known by the window change that the restaurant had changed to draw in more tourists. Service was slow even though the server assured us we'd make our show with plenty of time. We arrived at 6:20 (no worries), had no drinks, had salad and waited almost 40 minutes for our entrees. Due to some unforeseen stomach distress, when my entree came, I had no appetite. Did the server ask what was wrong with the dish, me, anything to signifiy that I was unhappy with something? Not a word! We got the check she, wrapped my dish and did not say a word! Won't be going back."

Charlie Palmer's signature Progressive American cuisine first took root in the original townhouse location of Aureole, where the chef made an early commitment to farm over factory food. Today, Aureole continues to shine at One Bryant Park under the kitchen leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware. Dining at the contemporary Aureole is staged in two venues: the formal dining room and more casual bar room.

Designed with modern conviviality in mind, the smart, casual bar room offers a la carte access to many selections that share the same style and ingredients as tasting menu dishes from the Dining Room. Or, select from a list of inventive “bar snacks” for lunch and dinner, followed by indulgent desserts from pastry chef Pierre Poulin.

Reservations can be made here for the Bar Room only.

To be seated in the Dining Room, please visit the Aureole Dining Room.

"My husband is on a unique diet not including dairy and they were great about adapting the dishes and serving him a fruit platter instead of serving him a dessert he wouldn't it. The special occasion was a birthday and they helped make it special. I hadn't been to their new location and would certainly go again."

"The 2 of us dining had 55 minutes for dinner before leaving for the theatre. The waiter couldn't have been more attentive. We had salad and entrees without feeling rushed. That doesn't happen everywhere--I've done some running at curtain time. Food fresh, pasta homemade and tasty."
