Sausalito's Reviews

Wildfish is located in the heart of downtown Arlington Height, delivering the concept of contemporary Japanese dining by fusing traditional and urban cultures. Wildfish has been known to be a hidden gem as it is tucked away in the corner of downtown Arlington Heights. Wildfish’s establishment in 2001 paved the way for its sister restaurants in Deerfield and Batavia.

* Cannot combine with any other offers or buffet night. (group on or living social)

"My most recent meal was really very nice. The place has a cozy family run feel about it. All the sushi was very fresh and well prep-pared. The prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and somewhat inattentive.
I would definitely go there again."

"The Bachelor Farmer has been my favorite restaurant in Minneapolis even beating out the 112 Eatery. This time, having eaten at both restaurants this week, I have to say that the flavors just didn't meld well and the food was not as exciting as usual.
TBF always has an creative menu, an expensive wine list with glasses and half-bottles frequently available.
The service is good and cheery."

We offer a small market driven menu that changes nightly, with wine pairings offered by the glass and half glass to accompany your meal.

"Nico is off to a truly great start with thoughtfully prepared food, terrific wine pairings, and great friendly service.
All but one of the dishes were really terrific. The one that fell short was cabbage with truffles. Unfortunately the truffle slices had almost no taste.
Overall this was a great experience. I hope we can get in for our next special occasion."

Barrel House offers a unique farm to table experience in downtown Sausalito which celebrates local seasonal ingredients and sustainability in a beautiful setting.

Barrel House focuses on letting the ingredients shine. Its wine menu highlights west coast winemakers. Barrel House will have rotating local micro brews on tap as well as wines on tap. Additionally, we will be hand crafting our own sodas with ingredients that we source at the local farmers markets.

Barrel House features furniture and woodwork that was handcrafted using reclaimed black walnut and curly maple trees. Every seat in the Barrel House has sweeping views of the Bay and an outdoor deck that sits right over the water.

"Barrel House is not finding its footing. I'm guessing they are going through one chef after another. The latest menu sounds sort of OK but when you get the food it really doesn't work.
Steak tartare with crab and mustard ice cream? If the meat wasn't refrigerator cold and had more flavor it might have been OK. Ice cream? Just didn't help. overall. Not worth the time and space.
The mussels with yellow curry could have been OK but just didn't make it. Too may vegetables on top.
This chef just isn't making it yet and it is a shame because the view is fantastic, good cocktails, and my server was sweet and helpful. Since I live here, I could walk to this place and would if the food was better. At this point I don't think I will come back."

After nearly two decades of cooking at local institution Anchor Oyster Bar in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood, veteran seafood chef Freddy Gamez left his post as head chef to open his very own restaurant: Mission Street Oyster Bar. Situated in the vibrant Mission district, the inviting restaurant serves several varieties of oysters and generous portions of the freshest fare from the sea. Classic dishes include cioppino, Dungeness crab cakes, caesar salad, prawn pastas and creamy Boston clam chowder. Local fish specials and oyster offerings change daily to ensure premium freshness and quality. Choose from a comprehensive selection of beer and wine for the perfect accompaniment to your favorite seafood dish.

"We went in a for a late lunch. The service was friendly but the food was not interesting and not worth the money. Really a run of the mill offering with sterile decor."
