"We arrived twice to find our table not ready. The female, wonderful manager managed the potentially annoyed waiting groups by giving each person a glass of proseco and chatted with everyone in a most engaging way. The food was worth waiting for from appetizer to entree--all well presented and innovative"

As a gastro-lounge, Sable Kitchen & Bar will do for hand-crafted cocktails, spirits and wine what the gastro-pub has done for beer: pairing seasonally-inspired cuisine with an artfully designed cocktail, spirits and wine program. Sable’s menu fuses traditional cooking techniques with a modern flair that seeks to highlight the harmony between cocktails, spirits, wine and cuisine. The bar menu will focus on snacks, medium sized plates and brick oven flatbreads while the dinner menu combines small, medium and large plates to encourage sampling and sharing. With a commitment to working with independent Midwest farmers and purveyors, the menu will draw inspiration from local and organic ingredients—everything from seasonal produce to free-range meats and sustainable seafood. "The service is haughty--uninterested and very very erratic. The food is very good, but ill-timed when the first order takes 3 minutes and the second tales almost twenty. Yes it is small plates but this is the big deal here in Chicago now and other places do it better."

"nice varied menu but everything is pretty ordinary--especially the fries that are included with each sandwich. If you ant to get a beer it is fine..but in that neighborhood there are bars with better food and just as good a vibe."

"Every time we make a reservation we have to wait. Greeters at the front offer no apology and seem inept.
Our server was disinterested at best--perhaps over worked or perhaps not very good. We saw him offer the table next to us some fruits for water--he never came to us. We had to ask for bread while all others got it. He dashed by and finally asked about our meal as he scurried past.
The wait to get our food was unreasonably long.
It is nice to have a restaurant in the neighborhood but we are not sure this is worth it.

Modern American Southwest menu using regional ingredients. We offer everything from seafood to filets to pastas and pizzas. we try to cater to special diets and we do have a Gluten Free menu. The Chef changes the dinner menu every night. Soul has live music and dancing on certain nights of the week. We offer daily breakfast and lunch specials. Our menu is made up of house made items that the chef makes to order. We do breakfast until 2pm on Sundays. We are known for our Green pork Chili and every weekend we have a special pancake of the day such as our Preserved Lemon Ricotta Pancake. YUM YUM!
