"We were looking to indulge a little bit, and we had not been here in several years. We were not disappointed. We made a reservation & were sat right on time. Server was personable & knew the menu very well. Cocktail menu had lots of interesting choices. The lobster bisque was excellent, and the pork chop was huge & prepared very well. The mixed greens salad was exactly what it sounds like- nothing special. The crab stuffed trout was very good. Side dish portion was huge. We had the cauliflower au gratin and wished the cauliflower had been cooked a bit more. This isn't a place we'd go often because of the prices, but it was a nice treat. The bar seems like a great spot for meeting friends for happy hour."

"The food was fine - no problems, nothing special. The service was slow, but he was friendly. We should have sat outside - the view looked great, as the restaurant overlooks the water. I think it would be a great spot for drinks after work or for dinner before an event at the convention center or Times Forum."

"We love wine but we are not fans of stuffy wine bars. We had heard about Max's and wanted to try it out. It definitely has a more laid back bar feel, which we really liked. The wine prices and happy hour deals were great too. I am vegetarian and was disappointed in the lack of food choices available to me. I ended up with the macaroni and cheese (Max-n-Cheese), which I didn't think was great compared to mac & cheese at other places (not very flavorful, lumpy sauce). My boyfriend had the fried chicken sliders & thought they were great. We would go back for drinks if we were in the area, but not for a meal. The atmosphere is really cool and the patio area looked fun."

"We've been to various Melting Pot locations over the years & this is the first time it wasn't great. We had an early seating on Valentines Day so it wasn't very busy while we were there, and our server was very friendly and attentive. They had a limited menu for Valentines Day and the food was ok, but frankly it was way overpriced. My vegetarian option was a small plate of veggies & a couple of ravioli for $60. The meat option was a similar portion for $68. I'm not "cheap", but I was embarrassed about being ripped off so badly. The salads were tiny, and they even cut the baby carrots in half to make it look like there were more. They over did it on taking advantage of the special occasion to price gouge."

"We've been going to Chamberlains for years, and we always take visitors there. We've never been disappointed. The quality is on par with or above all of the best steak houses in Dallas, but the service is far above the rest. They treat you like friends & make you feel welcome- never stuffy or pretentious. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the sides are fresh, creative and tasty."
