élan is a new restaurant by Chef David Waltuck and George Stinson. The menu is the evolution of David Waltuck's groundbreaking cuisine that elevated and sustained Chanterelle as an award-winning restaurant for 30 years. élan emanates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and full of energy; the service is gracious and smart, yet informal. The restaurant features a spacious front room for cocktails and light fare, a 12-seat bar, and a 44-seat dining room. Casual diners and those seeking more elaborate or special-occasion experiences will be equally welcome. Dinner is served 7 days a week, lunch is served 5 days a week, and David's take on weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday.

"Elan delights your senses from the moment you enter. The charming staff greet you with warmth and efficiency. The photos of Chuck Close enhance a decor designed to envelop you; and the food is simply sublime. My party of 6 was enraptured and we plan to return soon. From appetizers to dessert, everyone was enthralled. A particular favorite was the arctic char, the special on the evening we were there. In fact, fine dining doesn't get any better...just go!"

Welcome to Toloache (pronounced toh-lo-AH-tchay), chef-owner Julian Medina's contemporary Mexican bistro located in the Upper East Side. Toloache is named after a flowering plant famed in Mexico for its use in love potions. We hope that when you dine with us you too will fall under the spell of chef Medina's creative cooking, which incorporates seasonal and natural ingredients and more than a dozen types of chilies. Along with the authentic Mexican menu and an exceptional tequila list, we offer elegant decorative elements imported from Mexico. We look forward to seeing you soon.

"If you remember the old Cheers theme song, it's a most apt description of Toloache, where everyone knows your name and you are greeted warmly each time you enter. There are more excellent tequilas than I can count. The food is fabulous, especially the smoked salmon quesadilla, quinoa paella, shrimp quesadilla, and the Pollo Toloache. In season, there is nothing like dining under the stars on the back patio. This place gets everything right."

Mancora Restaurant and Bar brings you to the heart of what was once the Inca Empire, with authentic Peruvian and Latin American cuisine and a warm, friendly, homey atmosphere.
Peruvian food has evolved over the years with influences brought in by immigrants from the world over, including Spain, China, Italy, Germany, Japan and Africa. Using the traditional staples from Peru and Spain, mainly corn, potatoes, chili peppers, rice, wheat, seafood and meats, Mancora Chef Enrique Peraldo skews classics toward the mainstream, presenting unique and tasteful culinary offerings now becoming quite popular to the American palate. Among the most popular is "ceviche" - a dish of seafood marinated in citrus. Mancora welcomes you to Peru at its best in the East Village.
East meets West at Citrus Bar & Grill as our fresh and modern sushi creations pair brilliantly with Latin classics. Citrus offers an energizing experience for all five senses. The warm orange hues throughout the spacious bar and dining room celebrate the collaboration of cultures and serve as a welcome to all diners: intimate couples, families and large groups. Latin rhythms set the groove for our diverse crowds, while our full bar pours stunning cocktails using the finest tequilas and juices.

Quality Meats is a contemporary restaurant that serves a rustic New American menu.
The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

"Jonah Miller gets everything right at this East Village Spanish hot spot. Whether you opt for the barroom with its excellent tapas and Basque-inspired dim sum, or the 5-course tasting menu in the rear dining room, your senses will be delighted. Excellent wines complement the food, and service is warm, friendly and on point. Just go!"

"Oceana does everything right! One enters to a vibrant bar scene and moves into a warm, inviting dining room with capable, knowledgeable servers. The wine list is extensive and the food is sublime. We feasted on the seasonal pumpkin salad and seafood paella for two. Every morsel was a delight. In fact, we made another reservation for next week on our way out...can't wait to try the Oktoberfest seafood sausages and swordfish bacon! Best of all, they were mindful of our 7:30 curtain and got us out on time!"

"The Upper West Side cafe could convince you that you are in Europe. When weather permits, there is no better place to enjoy a glass of wine and a fabulous salad than this! Service is always friendly, and when the weather turns cooler, the indoor space is warm and inviting. It is the perfect place for lunch or a light dinner!"

"As someone who was heartbroken when Mesa Grill closed, I am thrilled that Gato has arrived to fill the void. This East Village/NoLita Mediterranean eatery gets everything right: from the warm welcome at the door to the knowledgeable servers, excellent wine list, fabulous pizzas, sublime locavore veggies, and outstanding small plates and main courses, nothing is amiss. Bobby Flay hits this one out of the park...so, just go!"
