Upper East Side restaurateurs Michael & Susy Glick offer you their one of a kind experience in Regional American cuisine at The Writing Room. Five years after opening Parlor Steakhouse, The Writing Room opens its doors in the same location as the iconic Elaine's. The Writing Room is a tribute to its predecessor while at the same time aiming to blaze its own trail with its combination of cozy and inviting decor, attentive service and a stellar and inventive menu developed by Executive Chef Lucas Billheimer. Offering cuisines that represent classic New England seafood to comforting Southern barbecue, Chef Billheimer will have you planning your next visit to The Writing Room before you've completed this one. The Writing Room also offers a private dining room quaintly referred to as The Study. We look forward to welcoming you.

"Whether you go for a fabulous brunch, prix-fixe dinner, or a burger on a Sunday evening after a movie, this new Upper East Sider has the comfortable ambiance, fresh, delicious food, and friendly service that make this restaurant both a keeper and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! A special stand-out is the fried chicken...it's excellent over the farmer's salad!"

Chef Luke Wallace prepares seasonal inspired dishes at Tom Colicchio’s casual Flatiron restaurant. The menu features a wide variety of small & large plates from Snacks, House-Made Charcuterie, Salumi, Artisanal Cheeses, Salads as well as Handmade Pastas, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The rustic and comfortable dining room lends itself to a quick lunch where guests can try our Croque Monsieur, a full dinner of Choucroute Garnie and Ricotta Ravioli, or a snack of Pecorino Arancini and East Coast Oysters. We are also serving a soul-satisfying brunch with dishes like Pork Scrapple & Eggs and our Applewood Smoked Salmon prepared in-house. Be sure to save room for Pastry Chef, Abby Swain’s creations including her take on the S’mores Tart.

"Few restaurants of the caliber of Tom Colicchio's Craftbar are as inviting and accommodating as this one! For our family brunch celebrating two birthdays, staff eagerly provided a high chair, menus that had "Happy Birthday" printed up top, and of course, dessert with a candle...just perfect! Friendly service, excellent farm to table food with inventive twists, like the smoked salmon quiche, and great decor make this the go-to place for brunch in the Union Square-Flatiron area!"

"If you are not a Mediterranean food aficionado, Fig and Olive will make you one! From their fabulous crostinis, and the excellent selection of wines to accompany them (my favorites are the manchego cheese with the tempranillo), to the lobster salad and chicken tajine, the food and service are both sublime. If you are not in the neighborhood, it's worth a special trip!"

Welcome to Toloache (pronounced toh-lo-AH-tchay), chef-owner Julian Medina's contemporary Mexican bistro located in the Upper East Side. Toloache is named after a flowering plant famed in Mexico for its use in love potions. We hope that when you dine with us you too will fall under the spell of chef Medina's creative cooking, which incorporates seasonal and natural ingredients and more than a dozen types of chilies. Along with the authentic Mexican menu and an exceptional tequila list, we offer elegant decorative elements imported from Mexico. We look forward to seeing you soon.

"From the warm greeting at the door, to the friendly bartenders and excellent, efficient knowledgeable servers, Toloache 82 is always on point! The food is fabulous. Whether you have the delicious salads (favorites include the Caesar Toloache and the jicama) and quesdaillas (love the manchego cheeses, shrimp, and short rib quesadillas), or the main courses (try the Pollo Toloache, the camarones, enchiladas and the quinoa paella), don't miss dessert! There's so much to enjoy here...just go!"

With two restaurants in New York City - on the Upper East Side and at Lincoln Center - Atlantic Grill is a luxury liner on land, an urban seafood brasserie where nautical décor meets old world charm. Atlantic Grill masters American seafood and showcases a refined raw bar, sushi and signature BR Guest Hospitality. Enjoy oyster, clam and shellfish selections that change daily and, and market-fresh fish available simply grilled a la carte or as composed entrees.

"Atlantic Grill does everything right. From the friendly greeting to the efficient wait staff and fresh, delicious fish, nobody does it better! Whether you go for brunch, lunch or dinner, the choices abound and the fish is sublime! My personal favorite is their salmon; but the oysters are always excellent, as are the lobster and shrimp spring rolls, sushi, crab and lobster. and, don't foget to save room for dessert!"

"This new Mexican bistro with French flair gets it all right! Whether you want to begin with a margarita or a nice Spanish rioja, make sure you have the guacamole made table side to accompany your drink! The salads and quesadillas are excellent, as are the salmon and the enchilada suizas. No matter what you are in the mood for, if it's Mexican, it's done right at Epazote!!"

"Just discovered this great neighborhood Mexican with a French twist. The food was delicious from the chunky guacamole, to the delicious salmon with a side of sweet potato and chorizo, to the jalapeño chocolate ice cream, which had a nice kick! The staff was friendly and efficient, and the setting is sublime...just go! I promise you will not be disappointed!"

Magical is a word thrown around a lot when discussing Tavern On The Green and one can’t help but feel magic in the air. Jim and David, architect Richard Lewis and landscape architect Robin Key, preserved the Victorian/ Gothic elegance of the semi-circular building; it is authentic, natural, elegant and sexy. It has been re-built to spectacular precision and the décor is of a grand farmhouse one might find on the property of an Italian Villa or a historic Hudson River Valley mansion.

"This was our first visit to Tavern on the Green under the capable new chef. To have a meal this well prepared on a hectic Christmas Day was a welcome surprise! Our server was all smiles and very accommodating, and though we were 10 minutes early for our reservation, they got us seated fairly quickly and efficiently. Folks were warm, the space is open and brings the Park in, the grilled pork chop and Chilean sea bass were both excellent, and we will definitely return when the weather warms."
