Welcome to Toloache (pronounced toh-lo-AH-tchay), chef-owner Julian Medina's contemporary Mexican bistro located in the Upper East Side. Toloache is named after a flowering plant famed in Mexico for its use in love potions. We hope that when you dine with us you too will fall under the spell of chef Medina's creative cooking, which incorporates seasonal and natural ingredients and more than a dozen types of chilies. Along with the authentic Mexican menu and an exceptional tequila list, we offer elegant decorative elements imported from Mexico. We look forward to seeing you soon.

"Toloache 82 is the Upper East Side's own Cheers...everybody knows your name, service is warm and friendly, the food is exceptional, especially when they have their smoked salmon quesadilla to celebrate Jewish holidays. Also love the paella, Pollo Toloache, the Tumbada and the shrimp quesadilla. And, you cannot beat the extensive tequila offerings! Dining under the stars on the back patio is just sublime. In fact, everything about Toloache 82 is as close to perfection as it gets."

"If you are looking for a little bit of Spain in the East Village, head on over to Huertas, where owner/chef Jonah Miller offers up some of the finest Spanish food and tapas to be found anywhere! The changing menu incorporates what is best at local markets on any given day, and the Spanish wine selection and in house crafted vermouth beautifully compliment what's on offer. Staff is warm and friendly, and the space is inviting. I've been there twice in the past two weeks and can't wait to return!"

"The Altamarea group does it again with this warm, friendly Upper East Sider that gets its fish just right! The branzino and arctic char are sublime. The service is most friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance is very inviting. It's a bit pricey, but this IS the UES, after all."

In addition to being the venue for countless Private Parties and Special Events, Hi-Life's award-winning 1930's decor, and casually elegant atmosphere has been the back-drop for numerous fashion shoots, movie scenes and television shows. (Including the 1998 film "Hi-Life" starring Eric Stolz and Darryl Hannah.)
Hi-Life's diverse menu and extensive booth and banquette seating make us a great choice for groups and parties of 10-200! Whether for a sit-down Dinner Party of 10, a Buffet Brunch, or Cocktail Party with passed hors d'oeuvres for 200, Hi-Life will customize a package that suits your needs and budget.
"Owner/chef Jonah Miller gets everything right at this little piece of Spain in the East Village! The choice of Spanish wines from the Albarino to the Tempranillo is excellent, and his ever-changing tasting menu really demonstrates his knowledge of Spanish tapas and cuisine. For a quick trip to Spain, head to Huertas immediately!"

An Irish-Victorian Bar and Restaurant, just steps from Union Square. In the "Ladies' Mile District" of days gone by. The interior has a distinctly late 19th century feel with wooden furnishings brought from Belfast, Ireland.
Serving a wide range of domestic and international beers (20 on tap and 30 bottled). A great selection of whiskeys and wines, including some excellent wine from the Langtry Winery in California where Lillie herself owned and lived for a time.

The food is traditional Pub Fare, including soups, salads, stews, fish and steaks. The Irish Breakfast is served all day. Brunch at the weekends from 11am to 4pm.

Traditional Irish music session on Saturdays at 4pm.

"This place is really fun! The decor is eclectic and very warm. While it reminded me of New Orleans, it's roots are Irish Whiskey Tavern. There are countless brews on tap and in bottles, surprisingly good food, and lots to choose from, friendly wait staff, and a real party scene that makes it difficult to hear, but after a few drinks, who cares?! We had a blast!"
