Come and experience our lively interpretation of South Carolina Low-Country cuisine. Enjoy good southern food, servers who bubble over with hospitality, and a dining room that is truly distinctive. With its honey-colored walls, golden woods and bronze sculptures that crawl across the ceiling, designer Adam Tihany has created an atmosphere to awaken your senses. What better place to enjoy low country cuisine than in this contemporary environment celebrating the south. Offering the flavor of the South - the Soul of Washington; where we will be sure to leave a light burning in the window for you, our guests.

Follow us on Twitter: twitter.com/gbrowns

Visit our Facebook page: www.georgiabrowns.com/facebook

"When GB first opened, it was different. Now, it really seems like they are just getting diners in and out. The service was perfunctory and the food was served within 10 minutes. Food was bland and greasy. Not a place to which I would rush back."

"The Hamilton is incredibly large, with multiple entrances (like a department store, which it was). Despite its size, you do not feel lost. Service was very good and when they were told that we had to be out in 90 minutes, they said it was not going to be a problem and it was not. Food was tasty (not the best), but still very good. Not overly pricey and would be a place to which I would return."

Giovanni's Trattu may be the only restaurant in DC to capture the feel of Venice. Formerly known as Trattu, this cozy little restaurant provides the lighter cuisine of Northern Italy, which is known for its unique flavor. The extensive menu changes every fall, winter and summer. Seating 60 in the main dining room, Giovanni's Trattu is candlelight at night and it entertains guests with live music from a guitarist/singer who roams from table to table, providing the perfect sound for any occasion. Highlighting the ambiance is a collection of colorful pottery and venetian masks that hangs from the walls. While Giovanni's Trattu is ideal for private parties, guests who seek a more intimate experience may sit at one of two tables in the small out door garden.

"Food was very good and the service was attentive without being overbearing. For some reason the noise is not muffled at all and the level can be very loud. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable meal and a place to go for another meal."

J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Carrot Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for weekend lunch, dinner 7 days a week & Sunday Brunch. Reservations are recommended.

"Having eaten at J Gilberts many times over the past 10 years, I am amazed at the decline of the food and service. We went on Sunday evening at 6:30 and the restaurant was 1/3 full, but it took 15 minutes to be seated. As we gave our drink order, we told our waiter that we had to be out in an hour and a half; he then promptly disappeared for 10 minutes. Tea was delivered, but there was no spoon or sugar on the table and our waiter was nowhere to be found. We finally went and found the items on our own. Food came 30 minutes later and was almost inedible. The $38 medium lamb chops were blood red in the middle and the risotto was so salty that it could not be eaten. The $35 seared tuna was cold and veiny and the other dishes (scallops and chicken) were barely touched (nothing wrong with the preparation, just not good). When the waiter finally cleared the table he did not notice/mention that two of the dishes were not touched and the other two were less than half eaten.
We asked for the check (it was now almost 8 o'clock, which came promptly. We immediately gave the waiter our credit card and he disappeared for 10 minutes, which troubled us. We finally left at 8:10, late for our show. It was the most disappointing $175 dinner I have ever had.
Not sure if ownership has changed recently, but they have some serious server/food problems. Definitely our last visit there."

Founding Farmers Tysons offers fresh American, Virginia infused, inspired true food and drink in a modern farmhouse setting. Our upscale-casual restaurant offers much of Founding Farmers same delicious, crave-able food and drink.
The menus include scratch-made traditional American classics and our popular dishes, made from scratch daily, with ingredients from American family producers. Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia, in a modern way. Weekend brunch at FFTysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.
The bar is pre-prohibition style, with house made elixirs, scratch sodas, Virginia-brewed craft draft beer, small batch spirits, and a wine list that includes popular varietals from domestic and international vineyards.

"Having eaten here many times, I know the food to expect and they constantly deliver. However, the service has deteriorated to the point I may not return. Actually had to stop a busboy to ask a waiter to stop at the table.20 minutes to have a waiter come over for drinks, another 20 minutes to take the order and then 30 minutes for the food. Bread never did come despite a request. 6 pm reservation for an 8 pm show and almost did not make it."

Jardenea is a freshly new, “Farm to Fork Concept,” that practices sustainable environmentally friendly techniques. Our goal is to bring a better awareness of food, health, and well-being to your life while insuring to leave the land a better place for the next generation. We strive to give the complete dining experience with not only the cuisine but our signature cocktails and our seasonally changed wine list. The Cuisine that we create is globally influenced and locally produced whenever possible. Our chefs have a deep appreciation for farm fresh products but also realize these products could come at a great cost and leave a large carbon footprint. While keeping this in the forefront we only source products from the finest farms, fisheries, foragers and artisans that believe in the same vision. The menus are changed with the season and reflect the regional flavors to maximize freshness and minimize the carbon footprint.

"Jardenea was a pleasant surprise. Diverse menu, pleasant service with good food. We went during restaurant week and were not planning to order from that menu, but the menu was broad and covered all we wanted to eat. There was only one dessert offered (carrot cake(, which I would skip at any time."

"Other than the crowds, dinner was thoroughly enjoyable and much better than I remembered. Food was very good and diverse. Wait staff was friendly and efficient, but did not make you feel like you were getting pushed out. We had a curtain to make and they succeeded doing it while allowing us to enjoy the meal."

History has been written inside the walls of the Wharf, with its 1790's style architecture featuring original wood columns and beams that are charred black from a Civil War fire. Since 1971, satisfied diners have been heading to The Wharf in Old Town for whole Maine lobster, local soft shell crabs and prime steaks. The restaurant has recently been renovated and remodeled and the menu updated to include many contemporary seafood items along with their traditional Chesapeake Bay creations.
