High above the coastline on the island of Maui sits The Plantation House.<br />From its unique vantage point atop Kapalua's Plantation Golf Course, the elegant open-air dining room offers panoramic ocean views and breathtaking sunsets.<br />Executive Chef Jojo Vasquez, voted one of Hawaii’s “Rising Star Chefs,”and rewarded "Best Chef America," has crafted menus to reflect his passion for locally sourced and inspired dishes as well as introduced signature menu items. Chef Jojo’s cuisine pays respect to locality, using diverse cooking techniques and contemporary presentations. The menu emphasizes Hawai‘i's fresh fish, with dishes that are enhanced by the bounty of fresh produce and herbs grown here on Maui. The Plantation House hosts winemakers for special events throughout the year and is host restaurant to the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Championships each January.<br />

"The Plantation House Restaurant was an excellent place for a romantic dinner overlooking the Kapalua Golf Course. The menu had tons of specials and the waiter was very knowledgeable about all of the food and the wine selections. There is an extensive bar and wine list to choose from. This is the perfect spot for a romantic evening out with tables that sit on a balcony overlooking the course and the water with a prefect view of the sunset. The food was delicious and well prepared. The only let down was dessert. The menu has several options but nothing truly special or remarkable. For those looking for a romantic restaurant you will not go wrong here."

"Roy's always provides a wonderful dining experience with scrumptious cuisine and impeccable service. This particular location is settled over a golf course but the view of the ocean is blocked by buildings. The service was quick and efficient with excellent suggestions on the menu. The food was well prepared and for a fine dining restaurant the portions are generous. Overall an excellent meal and well worth the stop if you are on this side of Maui."

Just like Kauai has its own unique qualities as the oldest Hawaiian Island, Roy’s Poipu Bar & Grill captures its laid back essence and spices it up with exciting flavors. You can’t help but relax in this breezy open-air restaurant, whether you’re kicking back in the courtyard bar or gathered around a table in the dining room.

"Roy's on Kauai provides excellent service and wonderful food. The menu changes everyday with new specials arising frequently. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. For those looking for a nicer dinner in Poipu this is an excellent choice. Dinner for 2 without alcohol will run around 120 for 3 courses. Overall we would go back without hesitation."

Barbuto is a casual Italian Eatery in the Meat Packing District featuring the seasonal green market cuisine of Jonathan Waxman. We accept reservations for parties of three or more and all parties of two are accommodated on a walk-in basis.

"The food at Barbuto was simply outstanding and the portions are huge! This is one of the best value restaurants for both quality and portion size in NYC. The staff was very accommodating and service was friendly. Don't miss the pasta dishes! The bar menu was varied but not extensive with plenty to choose from. Overall I was very impressed and will be back."

"Gotham Bar and Grill serves up unique dishes with first class ingredients and great farm to table type offerings. The service is attentive without being overbearing and the wine list/bar selection was impressive. The dessert menu was well worth it and had some delicious offerings. The only drawback is the tables are not just close together but you are on top of the next party. It was to the point that they mine as well just have one long table and seat you next to one another. It was not crowded when we were there but if you were in on a busy night it would be impossible to have a quiet conversation. The food however is well worth it and this should be part of any NY experience."

"The dining experience at BluEmber was wonderful and unique. The 29 dollar 3 course menu offered a wide array of choices each with an excellent flavor profile. It also showcased several chef farmers market inspired dishes that were delicious. A live band was playing on Friday night which was great and for those traveling with children there was a buffet set up for them that seemed very popular. Not the best spot for a quite date night but if you are looking for a fun vibe with great food you won't go wrong here."

"After numerous attempts to get a reservation I was finally able to get a table at Babbo and it was worth the wait. The food was amazing and unique in each course and the portion sizes were very reasonable for the caliber of restaurant. The service was very attentive and the sommelier suggested the perfect wine to go with the meal. For those looking for a truly outstanding dinning experience and exceptional cuisine you will not go wrong with Babbo"

"Wow! That is the best way to describe eating at Alan Wong's. The service was excellent and professional but it is the food that is the star of the show. Everything on the menu combines unique flavors that pack a punch. The Kalua Pig bruschetta was superb and had a wonderful spice. The tenderloin duo was perfectly cooked and the chili sauce served with it was masterfully executed. Dessert was a wonderful delight of texture and flavor. Overall you will leave FULL and despite the size the portions are not skimpy. For those looking for a nicer diner in Honolulu you cannot go wrong here."

"The food and service at Alan Wong's Pineapple Room were both excellent. The menu was varied and represented a modern take on Hawaiian cuisine. The service was courteous without being overbearing. Morimoto's contemporary Japanese menu infuses traditional dishes with Western ingredients and preparation techniques. His seasonal and ever-changing selection of raw fish preparations will feature the best seafood that the Hawaiian waters have to offer as well as locally grown fruits and vegetables from supporting farmers. Morimoto's signature offerings include Toro Tartare, presented in a shallow wooden tray with condiments including Osetra Caviar, crème frâiche, wasabi, avocado, shiso leaf and dashi-soy and Tuna Pizza made with raw tuna, anchovy aioli and jalapeno as well as Morimoto Sashimi, a terrine of seared toro, smoked salmon, barbequed eel, tuna and hamachi served with five different sauces in pipettes.

"Morimoto's is always a great dining experience when in Honolulu. The food is exquisite and bursting with flavor. The portion size is very good relative to the price and you will not leave hungry. This time the dining room was a little on the hot side but that has not been a problem before. We will be back each time we are in town."
