The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.

Seafood Nation loves our outpost in Peabody, at the junction of Routes 128 and 114. Those traveling to and from the beaches in Cape Ann are known to jump ship for some fresh catch. And those considering a fishing trip, visit us instead.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “#1 Best Seafood Restaurant” (USA Today, 2013), “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

"Always a pleasure to dine at Legal; it's a little out of our way and we often arrive early for our res., but there's never a problem. They always have a comfy booth for us. My husband loves the oysters and the seafood entrees are the best. This time we noticed the wine list- a huge selection of interesting wines, important to us, not being cocktail enthusiasts. We shall be back!"

"Our dining experience @ Brasserie Jo is sometimes wonderful- this time, not so much. Our waiter left us alone far too long to order. Our appetizers- smoked salmon and also escargot- were wonderful; however, the entrees of steak and fish were quite bland, and my husband felt his steak quite tasteless. We chose not to order from the fixed price menu. Finally, we ordered the profiteroles to share for desert- our favorite; instead, we were brought a large, bland cream puff. Something has changed with the cuisine, and it is not an improvement. One pleasing note; we returned after our show in pouring rain and the valet found me waiting in the lobby to let us know that our car would be next. Great service from him!"

Temple Bar is a neighborhood bistro with a focus on creative cuisine along with professional and friendly service. Temple Bar offers a warm and welcoming charm. Accented by exposed brick, oversized mirrors, lights and booths and an oak enamored paneling, guests enjoy the buzz and excitement of Temple Bar

"We dine at Temple Bar a couple of X each year. This meal was very delicious; I had chicken, wonderfully prepared and my husband a seafood dish that he enjoyed very much. The menu seems to have been upgraded since our last visit and the wine list as well. All the staff was very welcoming and gracious- very nice experience."

"We discovered La Boite en Bois last year and have returned when we come into the city. The service is exemplary and the food delicious, and interesting selection of wines. The pre-show menu is a wonderful value and the friendly staff very considerate to see that you are cared for and on you way in plenty of time for your show. If attending Lincoln Center, you will have only a few blocks, maybe a five minute walk. Do reserve as La Boite will fill up by 6pm."

"If you are attending an opera at The Met, you owe it to yourself to dine at the Grand Tier. The service is gracious, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The entrees are wonderful- I had scallops perfectly prepared: the portions are just right- neither tiny, nor overwhelming. We had a wine suggested- new to us and thoroughly enjoyable. Of course, if traveling from out of town as we were- there's the benefit of parking just once and not needing to go out at all- a relief if the weather is inclement. Our evening was wonderful!"

A forum for Lincoln Center’s performing arts culture for nearly 30 years, Café Fiorello features a sprawling bar filled with more than 50 kinds of antipasti. Finished in warm wood, brass and mirrors, the main dining room suggests a timeless charm. In addition to the hot and cold antipasto specialties of vegetables and seafood, the menu features updated Italian classics and specialty dishes, as well as a selection of seafood, steak, veal & pasta.

"We are out-of-towners and travel in 3-4 times annually for shows and the Met, and nearly always dine at Fiorello's for a meal. This trip we had brunch before a matinee and it was wonderful! The brunch menu is inventive and our entrees, delicious! In addition, to the meal will come a Mimosa or Bloody Mary if you are inclined- a superior value! On this occasion, we arrived before the crowds and were treated with a large and comfy booth in the front- this added much to our dining experience as the small tables can be crowded and sometimes noisy. Absolutely make your reservation, and make it early as the crowds fill in quickly. Our experience was wonderful!"

"On this visit I tried the shrimp with pasta and it was exquisite. My only concern was that there was a very loud and angry woman at the table beside us and there were plenty of tables open. It might be good not to seat people adjacent when there are other alternatives as this can affect other diners. Food and service- wonderful as always."

"Brutole is our favorite and this trip was no exception; my swordfish was excellent as was my husband's haddock. Too bad we had no room for desserts- they are wonderful as are the appetizer, esp. the beet salad. Know that there is a decent size bar where you can watch sports, although we don't as we are mainly foodies!"

"Now that the holidays are over- do yourself a favor and return to Brutole. The staff is always welcoming and the food is beautifully prepared and delectable. We generally order seafood, but this time we both had chicken entrees and the beet salad was beautiful- perfect to tempt your appetite. We appreciate that there are always new wines to try; we tried a Pinot Noir that was wonderful, yet a fine price point."

"A perfect way to end the year: Brutole has added some new items to the menu as well as old favorites. Tired from travel over the holidays, we had planned to stay home- happy that we decided to head to an early meal at our favorite restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere rivals a restaurant you would find in New York. We will return often!"
