For nearly twenty years the restaurants of the Lark Creek Restaurant Group have featured American wines exclusively to complement our commitment to seasonal farm-fresh American fare.

We are a husband and wife operation. We go to the Farmers market every morning and hand pick the best California has to offer. Menu changes every day based on availability and season. We source our protein also from local farmers. Even though we are not a traditional steakhouse our beef comes from Snake River Farms, Idaho. The concept of the restaurant is fine dining for hard working people inspired by chefs Venezuelan heritage while using fine cuisine techniques from around the world. It is a casual atmosphere with a feeling you are in a friends house for dinner. Therefore, your choices of food and wine are limited. You get what is recommended by a host, while all your allergies and restrictions will be gladly accommodated. The 5 course tasting menu is $50 all protein based, it starts with seafood and ends with beef. San Francisco Chronicle food critic Michael Bauer rated our food 3 stars and the deal of the year, the atmosphere of the restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is good

"We had attempted to dine at the Palace no fewer than 3 times, arriving with out reservations. We were always asked if we had reservations, which was a "no" and were told it would be a two hour wait although no more than 2 or 3 of the 15 tables had guests. This time I made the required reservations.
The food was an interesting 5 course affair with options that could be added. Most of the courses were tasty with the main course, a lovely prepared cut of cow that was done perfectly. The wine selection was was thin and overpriced. I saw a table lovingly welcomed by the husband and wife team, obvious repeats, who had brought two bottles of wine, ah, that's the ticket!
Overall my rating of good to nearly very good stands. An interesting place.

Wexler's serves a delicious menu of New American BBQ in an intimate, rustic-chic spot situated in the city's Financial District. Using a California farm to table approach, Executive Chef Charlie Kleinman puts a tasty new spin on tradition by pulling inspiration from various regional BBQ styles and creating unique new dishes using California's bounty of fresh, artisanal ingredients. You will find smoked meats flavored with house made dry rubs alongside dishes driven by the freshest produce Chef Kleinman can find. From smoking our own chilies to making our own onion powder, Wexler's is committed to using and creating the best ingredients. A strong lineup of American beverages (American cocktails, beer, and wine) complement the flavors of the food.
