Pennsylvania 6, is a new restaurant that is changing the landscape of the Herald Square neighborhood. Bringing with it the feeling of Old New York and a new taste of classic American dining, Pennsylvania 6 is a 21st Century cross between the Oak Room and the Oyster Bar. (The name is a tribute to Pennsylvania 6-5000, the phone number of the nearby Pennsylvania Hotel, made famous in the song of the same name performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.) Born of casual American roots with a sophisticated culinary twist, boasting a raw bar stocked with the finest oysters and shellfish, and an artisanal cocktail bar, a craft beer list, and an eclectic wine list, there could be no better time for its introduction, as the neighborhood continues to evolve and the bordering NoMad neighborhood becomes a burgeoning dining destination with The Breslin, John Dory, the Ace Hotel and NoMad.

L'Apicio is located at 13 E. 1st Street (between Bowery and 2nd Avenue). The Italian-inspired restaurant gets its name from the 18th century Italian cookbook, and brings Executive Chef Gabe Thompson's cravable modern Italian food to the East Village. L'Apicio offers a deep cocktail and wine program created by Beverage Director Joe Campanale, while Executive Pastry Chef Katherine Thompson oversees the pastry program. L'Apicio is open for dinner seven days a week and brunch on the weekends, featuring lounge and bar areas and outdoor seating, in addition to the main and private dining rooms.

"Delicious. Gracious. Professional....The kitchen delivers intelligent simple compositions and fresh creativity. The essence of Italy. The service staff actually cared about our enjoyment. Attentive and friendly. From the hostess' relevant questions upon our arrival until the manager's bidding us adieu when we were getting up to leave, our comfort was their focus. Informal meets excellence."

The Marrow is a contemporary American restaurant, located amidst picturesque brownstones and cobblestone streets in the West Village, run by Chef Harold Dieterle and Alicia Nosenzo, owners of nearby Perilla and Kin Shop. The food is inspired by the ethnic heritage of Harold’s parents, reflecting his father’s German ancestry and mother’s Italian lineage. To complement The Marrow’s menu, an extensive, yet approachable beverage program is offered that includes nearly 400 wines, with a strong emphasis on Italian, German, and Austrian producers.

Arlington Club is a bi-level classic steakhouse located at 1032 Lexington Avenue between 73rd and 74th Streets in the Upper East Side neighborhood. This space was formerly the home of the Lenox Hill Republican Club in the 1920s, an ice-skating rink called Ice Studio from the 1970s to 90s.

"Certainly a steakhouse with style and panache--sides, appetizers, presentation are all more original than traditional steakhouses. Unfortunately the strip steak itself was disappointing. Although excellent flavor, the beef was chewier and stringier than it should have been. All things considered, though, I am willing to give it another chance"

Rooted in the proud tradition of the United Kingdom's public houses as genial gathering places for convivial eating and drinking, Jones Wood Foundry is a food-driven pub. The menu, created by Chef/Partner Jason Hicks, represents the best of time-honored British culinary traditions that have been reinvigorated for 21st century palates. Every aspect of this Upper East Side pub and restaurant has been carefully crafted to evoke a sense of ownership among patrons, to assure they feel it's "theirs, an extension of their homes". Jones Wood Foundry is always warm and welcoming for a quick drink at the expansive bar, casual snack and conversation at the communal table overlooking a secret courtyard garden, or for a leisurely meal in the cozy dining room.
