"Went on a Sunday evening and was impressed how full they were. Mussel app is tasty. Cod is yummy- wrapped in bacon- how could it not be? Lots of variety of French food. Service was great! Ki was a great waiter. The seafood stew was full of seafood but not well seasoned. Great bar downstairs too..."

Cinquecento Roman Trattoria is a comfortable, energetic and inviting restaurant reminiscent of the neighborhood trattorias found in Rome. A spot that is perfect for a spontaneous night out, a special occasion or as your go-to spot for dinner and brunch. A perfect meeting place for all, as we offer complimentary parking in our adjacent lot. Located in the South End of Boston, Cinquecento offers a menu steeped in the Roman tradition of simplicity custom and comfort. We offer an extensive all Italian wine list, award winning cocktails, a secluded out door patio and a private dinning room. Enjoy Roman and Italian inspired cuisine described as "true to the Roman Style, simple dishes perfectly done" all served in a dining room like no other in Boston.

"Staff is always friendly and food is consistently good. Outside dining is lovely and all are accepting of the dogs who attend as well- behaved always!! Octupus is great, mussels in great broth. The trout is really good- and the fish in parchment- always a crowd pleaser.
Wine list is varied and affordable. Parking is a plus.

Legal Oysteria is a casual neighborhood restaurant serving coastal Italian-style seafood. Executive Chef Rich Vellante developed a menu based on the food he cooks at home for family and friends.

Legal Oysteria’s menu showcases the freshness and purity of its seafood offerings and other ingredients. Preparations are simple and authentic. A brick oven (with pizza oven and rotisserie) informs the menu. There are options for those who choose to table share or prefer more traditional coursed dining. Our bar program was designed to complement the cuisine. The all Mediterranean wine list is heavily focused on Italy and Spain and the cocktail program highlights the beautiful wine, vermouth, chinato and amaro of Italy and beyond.

By tradition, an osteria is casual, comfortable and accessible and Legal Oysteria aspires to afford that same experience.

"Food as always from a Legal restaurant was fresh and delicious. Fried oysters a must try! Charred octopus was done just right. Prices are reasonable to build a neighborhood clientele . It was open less than a week when I went with 2 friends . Waited too long for someone to approach. Had to ask for a waitress to take a drink order. Manager did come over - wanted feedback - nice touch. Fisherman stew was full of shrimp and fresh fish. Whole fish of the day a hit too. Bar was packed. And when the waitress heard it was my birthday- dessert was on her!! They will work out timing kinks I am sure. The noise level was an issue when it was Olives and it still is REALLY loud and difficult to have a conversation."
