Mezza Luna Restaurant, "half moon" in Italian, is located in the historic Princeton Landing Building (circa 1908). The harbor town of Princeton by the Sea is located 20 miles south of San Francisco on Highway 1. In this scenic area of Half Moon Bay, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean, you can experience breathtaking coastal views and marvel at the giant waves of Mavericks. Opened in the Summer of 1993, Mezza Luna continues to create an eating environment which provides the highest quality of meat, fish, produce, pizza and pasta. All with a contemporary Southern Italian flair.

"I wish they would add a maybe to" would you recommend" as different groups would be good. I think its great for large groups. Two people not so much. There are two sides, the bar/dining and the dining, but they can seat you in the bar even with a reservation. So noisy in there, big screen TV.The lighting is awful in the main dining roomm.I know they are trying to do the right thing with fluorescents, but they need to try LED's. The glare was just awful . They had the spiral type over our table. Way too bright and unflattering for a nice dinner out. But the tortellini was very good. and the service very good."

"My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night. The service was fine, and the food was pretty good. It did get quite noisy and as the tables are quite close together we were actually to the point of stopping talking as the neighbor was so loud. We have been to France and eaten at lovely spots where you are even closer but somehow those are smaller and then everyone just talks. This is bigger, a higher ceiling. so it just doesnt work. We were also against the wall so really felt hemmed it. The lighting does need to be adjusted. It was too bright and in our eyes. The Christmas decorations made it feel a bit homey although I am wondering what it looks like without them .The acoustical panels on the walls are really inappropriate, although needed for sound. Something more inventive could have been done. We might try it agin. The waiter was very nice. and the food was very good."
