"My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night. The service was fine, and the food was pretty good. It did get quite noisy and as the tables are quite close together we were actually to the point of stopping talking as the neighbor was so loud. We have been to France and eaten at lovely spots where you are even closer but somehow those are smaller and then everyone just talks. This is bigger, a higher ceiling. so it just doesnt work. We were also against the wall so really felt hemmed it. The lighting does need to be adjusted. It was too bright and in our eyes. The Christmas decorations made it feel a bit homey although I am wondering what it looks like without them .The acoustical panels on the walls are really inappropriate, although needed for sound. Something more inventive could have been done. We might try it agin. The waiter was very nice. and the food was very good."

Josiah and Khin Khin Slone create a warm, friendly, and comfortable food-focused environment at Sent Sovi – at once a destination for diners from the entire Bay Area and members of the local community. Chef Josiah works closely with local farmers, purveyors, and small local wineries to bring a Californian influence to French cuisine in preparing seasonal and stylish wine friendly food. More than 20 wine selections are offered by the glass from their state of the art dispensing system. Guests can choose to pair them with a three or four course prix fixe menu, or six course Chef's or Vegetarian tasting menu. Copper wainscoting, hardwood floors, and a flower strewn outdoor patio, help create an intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy the experience.

"Personally we think they should skip the price fix dinner and offer a ala carte menu. On a Saturday they were not even half filled, which is sad. The dessert was really not worth having, both the chocolate and the pineapple cake. The hangar steak ..I would have been happy to pay a higher price and have a nicer cut of meat. Same comment for my husbands pork. The soup was the best offering, and the little rolls. nummy.. Service was attentive. Most likely we will not be back though as there are too many other better spots for the same price."

Perched above the waves of San Francisco’s picturesque Ocean Beach the historic Cliff House is home to the stunning Sutro’s at the Cliff House restaurant. With the most spectacular ocean views in the City and contemporary American cuisine that draws heavily from the bounty of the ocean visible from every angle of the restaurant, dining at Sutro’s is the quintessential San Francisco experience. The menu features local seafood offerings like whole roasted Petrale sole, Dungeness crab, and local shellfish as well as fresh produce farmed using sustainable practices. The Cliff House also offers the more casual Bistro Restaurant (no reservations), open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Sunday Champagne Buffet (must phone for reservations).
