"Went there to celebrate a friends birthday and had a great time! We were there on a Wednesday night and the place was hopping! Very good food and service. The salads were great and the chicken delicious. Definitely recommend Le Penguin for an enjoyable night out!"

l'escale, which means "port of call", is a restaurant seemingly lifted from glorious Provence and brought back to Earth on the waterfront of Greenwich, CT. l'escale serves an inventive Provencal menu in an atmosphere that captures the warm sun, sea breezes & evocative scents of Southern France.
"We sat outside on a beautiful summer day and really loved the water view! My friend ha a ham and cheese panini and I had a very fresh local greens salad with chicken. Both were very good. The wine was terrific as well. Did not have dessert, but what we saw looked delicious. Service was excellent."

The Ginger Man opened in Greenwich in August of 2002 and instantly became one of the area’s most popular restaurants. Known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, the Ginger Man is a favorite among Greenwich locals and neighboring communities. Whether you are looking for a quick burger (maybe the best burger anywhere!), sandwich, or salad with friends or an intimate dinner at a table by the fireplace, The Ginger Man offers you a unique dining experience.

The Ginger Man’s menu accommodates people of all ages with everything from grilled cheese to entrée-sized salads and two to three fish selections daily. The restaurant still uses a real butcher from the New York City marketplace to hand pick its steaks and blend that special mix for its famous burgers.

The Ginger Man features 23 taps, 80+ bottles and a well chosen wine list from small and large Vineyards around the world. The Ginger Man’s burgers and beers were voted “best burger” and “best beer selection.”

"Have been to the restaurant many times for lunch. Though had an enjoyable experience, the menu keeps changing and not for the better. They used to have a delicious lobster salad....gone. They used to offer a quinoa and feta salad ....gone. Mussels in wine....gone. Please bring back some of these deleted items. On a positive note their grilled chicken is delicious and plentiful and the pizza looked delicious."

Barolo Wine Bar & Trattoria is located on Main St. in New Canaan. We offer authentic Italian cuisine with a menu that celebrates the Piedmontese tradition. Our pizzas and pastas are made from scratch, in-house every day and our salumi, hand selected directly from Italy. Our dining room offers a full menu from 5pm and our bar area, open late, serves up thin crust pizzas, fresh shellfish, and other bar bites all night long. At Barolo Trattoria & Wine Bar, a glass half full just means it's time for one more. Come enjoy one with us.

"Barolo went from being our favorite restaurant to a terrible dining experience! We were a party of six celebrating a birthday. The waitress - assistant manager was lovely at first . appetizers were good but then we waited a about 20 minutes after that for our main course. That wouldn't have been so bad except the pasta was cold and the chicken was greasy! Would have complained to waitress-assistant manager but she was everywhere except at our table. We waited about 25 minutes from time our plates taken and finally asked someone to find her. She came over with a Very nasty attitude and argued that we weren't waiting that long.isn't the customer always right? Very unprofessional. I could go on, but enough to say we will not be back."
