"Pam and i enjoyed our meal very much. She had kidney lamb chops and I had prime rib. Both were excellent. I like my prime rib very rare and cannot always get it that way. Here it was red all the way through. Our waiter was terrific, very knowledgeable. I love how the restaurant is decorated for Christmas. We look forward to a return visit."

"Donna and i had a very nice time. I arrived early and sat at the bar and enjoyed a very good martini and conversation with bartender. Service was very professional, not overbearing. We were allowed ample time to enjoy our drinks and appetizer. We shared a cheese plate which was nice for two. Donna had scallops and I had hanger steak. Both were excellent. My steak was perfectly cooked. I look forward to a return visit."

With the look and feel of one of the "Great Camps" of the Adirondacks, Tower Oaks Lodge serves an American-style saloon menu. Adjacent to a 21-acre nature preserve, Tower Oaks Lodge is located just off I-270. The raw bar features oysters from both coasts.

"I have been to Travel Oaks a number of times and have never been disappointed. Diane had the crab cakes and thought they were excellent.
I had the baked haddock which was also fresh and excellent. I am from Boston and it is my favorite fish and hard to find in the DC area. Worth going just for that. We also had a bottle of NZ savignon blanc, only $28. A great dining experience and reasonably priced.
I also ask for a quiet booth and they always accomodate me."
