IN 1983, Karl & Ursula Selinger of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Germany in the Rhineland Pfalz opened The Old Stein Inn to serve the finest German cuisine. They decided to locate in Anne Arundel County just 8 miles south of Annapolis in Edgewater Maryland. The Old Stein has a traditional Biergarten to give neighbors a place to enjoy al fresco dining with friends and family. The ten German taps pour an unparalleled selection of beer. The Old Stein has been featured on "The Best Of Show" on the Food Network and has won multiple awards for the Munster Cheese & Crab Soup and the Apple Cheesecake.
The Old Stein is no run-of-the-mill chain restaurant. Diners come from all over the Mid-Atlantic (or right around the corner) to this family-owned, Maryland gem to enjoy fun, food, friends—and, or course, a cold brew in a gemütlichkeit atmosphere. Eins, Zwei, Drei, G"suffa!

Created by renowned Executive Chef Barry Koslow, Pinea serves contemporary European dishes with a focus on France, Italy and Spain. An exceptional selection of local vegetables and seasonal meats and seafood are enhanced by flavor profiles popular in these regions—citrus; fresh herbs, including lavender and rosemary; and curated olive oils. Feast on such menu highlights as handmade pastas and housemade spice blends, along with impeccably fresh and carefully sourced seafood like whole grilled branzino. Share bold dishes inspired by Italy’s merenda (afternoon snack): roasted serrano ham-wrapped figs with blue cheese, as well as pissaladiere topped with caramelized onions, black olives and boquerones.
Complement your plate with an esoteric wine from a southern European region such as Campania, Valencia or Languedoc Roussillon, or a unique craft cocktail or beer.

"We make 2-3 trips a year to DC and always eat at Oyamel. Guacomole is superb, tapas inventive and delicious. Service is friendly prompt and personable. Eclectic crowd of young Washington profesdionals, some adventurous tourists and some singles. High energy crowd. We have tried most things on the menu and all of the food we have tried is excellent."

"Dined on the deck overlooking the Ohio River and Cincinnati as the day faded into night. Spectacular views. Great food! I had Prime rib, ask for it as rare as possible and it was the best I have had. My wife had Salmon which was "lacquered" with a delicate orange sauce that enhanced without trying to be the star. Friends had teriyaki beef and mahi-mahi, again delightful choices. Service was attentive without being intrusive, the time sped by as we enjoyed the food and the views and the company.
This was our second visit. We will be returning."

Carnivale is a reflection of Latin culture and community, as passionate as the people themselves. The soulful cuisine allows you to explore the dishes of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, El Salvador, and Mexico. The kaleidoscope of colors, music and playful décor ignites the sense of being in a Latin house party. Executive Chef Rodolfo Cuadros supports the Green City Market and uses as many local, sustainable ingredients as possible out of concern for the environment and community. Carnivale is the perfect location for your lunch, dinner, birthday, anniversary, wedding or corporate event. Carnivale has hosted exciting events such as Oprah’s “Color Purple” release party, the “Batman: The Dark Night Returns” wrap party and a private event with John Legend. Carnivale is located in Chicago’s West Loop, just off the expressway and close to downtown. It's also a quick CTA ride from Michigan Ave, Navy Pier or the Art Institute of Chicago.

"Our favorite Chicago restaurant! The main room is open, brightly colored, inviting. Food is excellent. We had the ceviche sampler (all four of the current ceviche offerings), guacamole, ropa (small tacos of flank steak, plantains, cheese), mushroom coca (sautéed mushrooms, warm goat cheese and arugula on flat bread) and banana pie for desert. It was a perfect meal. Server Oscar was attentive without being intrusive, making just right suggestions."
