Why Kraft House No. 5? When we started on this venture, we knew what our concept was going to be. We wanted everything hand crafted and made from scratch. We wanted craft beers, and we wanted craft cocktails. Our kitchen is going to be a chef driven scratch kitchen. Food with integrity is what we will be known for. Why the "K" for Kraft? Why not?? As for the No.5? Besides being located at 5 S. Liberty St, this will be the 5th restaurant owned and operated by the Pappas family.

"Just a week before this visit, was our first visit to Kraft house. We had an amazing night last week, with great service and even better food. I can't say that this time was the same. Our server didn't seem that eager to actually wait on us. Not to get in the entire story but we will think twice about coming back after this experience. Food was just ok and service was far from acceptable."

Showcasing imaginative Nuevo Latin cuisine, deseo’s (deseo is Spanish for “desire”) menu features a distinctive and skillfully blended combination of flavors to create delicious dishes that are bold and intriguing. This style of cooking takes traditional Latin American dishes and reinvents them using European and American cooking techniques and often non-traditional ingredients. The perfect start to dinner at deseo is to “descansar” or “relax” with a freshly created cocktail at the adjacent Muddle Bar, which specializes in blending fresh fruits (mango, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and more) with fresh herbs (basil, tarragon, mint and more) along with your favorite spirit for the perfect pre-dinner cocktail.

"After reading a lot of great reviews we decided to try Deseo while staying at the Westin Kierland. We ordered the fish dish for two and was not all that thrilled. The sea bass, shrimp, and scallops were all overcooked but not to the point that we were unable to eat them. We also had side of the plantains that seemed to be coated in way too much sugar. My wife and I are not ones to complain unless we are unable to eat the food, so we finished our meals but not completely satified with food. After dinner took about 10 minutes to flag down our server to get our check. After check was dropped off another 10 minutes went by before picked up our credit card as he was under the assumption that we were charging to our room. I could see that he could make that assumption based on fact we were staying there but he should have at least walked around shortly after to ensure that was the case. Overall food was ok and service wasn't great."

J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

An earthy yet sophisticated approach to Italian cuisine, Scarpetta was created by award-winning chef Scott Conant and features a soulful menu of seasonally-inspired fare. An Italian expression that means “little shoe”, or the shape bread takes when used to soak up a dish, Scarpetta represents the pure pleasure of savoring a meal down to the very last taste. Try a signature dish such as Sicilian-Spiced Duck Breast, Seared Sea Scallops with Sunchokes or Spaghetti with Tomato and Basil.
