An authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and Italian restaurant situated in the landmark MetLife Building at Grand Central Station at E.45th Street, Naples 45 offers al fresco dining in the warmer months and tantalizing regional Southern Italian specialties with friendly take-out service and gourmet brick-oven slices to go. Naples 45 was awarded the coveted certification of "La Vera Pizza Napoletana," in recognition of serving authentic Neapolitan pizza made with traditional ingredients, methods, and wood-burning ovens - one of only two such awards in New York City.

"Very busy outside for "happy hour" but not that much inside at that time. Service was friendly but the advice on selection of appetizers was disappointing (eggplant parmigiana and meatballs; Piccoli, combo of two for $16. Eggplant had more of breadcrumbs than anything else and, meatballs were dry and hard to chew on. Big portions though!). After that I decided not to order any pizza although it was the reason why I came to this restaurant (special fire oven, one of the very few in NY City). So, I will try next time for pizza."

Brasserie 8 ½ achieves a delicate fusion of creativity and comfort, featuring a world-class art collection, adventurous haute French cuisine and a plush atmosphere. A luscious raw bar, Latin and Asian influenced dishes, succulent meats, and a dessert selection that is a world apart, artfully complement this glamorous setting.Visit our other great restaurants by clicking on the link below.

The Patina Restaurant Group

"Very spacious place that actually feels "lonely" with tables too far apart. There is a choice of a regular menu as well as 3 course pre-fixe which is advertised as a "restaurant week" menu available every day at affordable price ($38). My fish, Loup de Mer was so salty that I had to ask to replace it (which was done gracefully and quickly). Also available a "wine tasting" menu (set of three wines that one can choose for $23)."

Picholine offers contemporary French-Mediterranean cuisine in both it's elegant dining rooms and casual, no reservation cheese and wine bar. Perhaps best known for introducing the European cheese cart to discerning American diners, Chef Brennan also specializes in Wild Game and innovative contemporary Mediterranean dishes.

The restaurant received a James Beard Foundation nomination for the country’s outstanding restaurant in 2007, and was awarded two stars in the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011editions of Michelin Guide New York City.

"Elegant and expensive dinning! Service was outstanding but somewhat too overwhelming and pretentious? in attempt to satisfy the clients! There was a choice of a 3 course or 5 course pre-fixe menu (for $98 and $120!) and, once ordered, we felt "rushed" with the dishes coming too quickly. Wine selection was very nice but, the least costly on the list was above $60-70 (our Pouilly Fume Ladouc was $110!). Ambience was satisfactory but no "warm" accents ( walls decorated mainly with mirrors) and, I was seated on an...uncomfortable couch (too low; I asked to be relocated to sit on "regular" chairs). I recommend this place with reservation and personally I would prefer less of "high end" and more of good food reasonably priced."

"Very nice pre-fixe menu between 5 and 7 pm for $60, but no regular a la carte available (too bad). Great grilled octopus (as always; we are returning quests) and Loup de Mer, extensive list of wines and terrific service (attentive but not overwhelming). All well coordinated with our pre-theater limited time frame."

Located in midtown Manhattan, our first restaurant in the Big Apple will be a short walk from Times Square and just steps away from MoMA. This prime location makes Fogo the ideal dining spot for locals, tourists and dignitaries. The stunning three level design will feature a lounge area that is perfect for gathering with friends along with private and semi-private dining areas to accommodate special events.

"For a price of $59.50 per person one gets to eat "all you can" from salad bar (wonderful and plenty of choices) and sixteen cuts of meat ( beef, pork, lamb, chicken and sausage). This also includes three side dishes. Great idea, however for someone who does not eat much, it seems "not cost effective" and unfortunately there is no alternative. So... come very hungry, eat slowly (there is no "rush" feeling at all) and enjoy!"

The Ginger Man opened in Greenwich in August of 2002 and instantly became one of the area’s most popular restaurants. Known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, the Ginger Man is a favorite among Greenwich locals and neighboring communities. Whether you are looking for a quick burger (maybe the best burger anywhere!), sandwich, or salad with friends or an intimate dinner at a table by the fireplace, The Ginger Man offers you a unique dining experience.

The Ginger Man’s menu accommodates people of all ages with everything from grilled cheese to entrée-sized salads and two to three fish selections daily. The restaurant still uses a real butcher from the New York City marketplace to hand pick its steaks and blend that special mix for its famous burgers.

The Ginger Man features 23 taps, 80+ bottles and a well chosen wine list from small and large Vineyards around the world. The Ginger Man’s burgers and beers were voted “best burger” and “best beer selection.”

"I was overall disappointed! It is a fairly pricy restaurant on a main street in town, however it had the quality of "fast food" place with screaming kids running around... Quinoa salad was nice and generously portioned, however chicken Panini dish was almost unacceptable: chicken was dry, obviously overcooked and French fries "soggy", very dark with a bitter taste and totally unappealing (if I did not have a company, I would had returned the dish!). With time, place filled with clients coming for a drink at the bar and, it became so crowded and noisy that we just left. The only good experience I had, was our waiter... I might recommend this place with reservation but I doubt that I would like to try it again myself."

"The Kitchen has extended the Restaurant Week menu till the end of August which I though was nice but with many limitations in dishes. We however enjoyed a "regular" dinner menu with absolutely delicious Chicken Tajine and Pretzel Pork!! Chicken was perfectly seasoned with hot spices and so tender and juicy that it was melting in my mouth, served with couscous, dried fruit and crispy vegetables and, nicely presented. Big portion of apple salad could had served as a meal on its own. Nice cocktails (I recommend Twisted Ruby) but limited wine list....Overall a very nice dinner!"
