Everything “a bistro should be”, this “delightful” Mamaroneck French bistro earns praise for its “approachable” menu of “heartwarming” fare, “excellent wines” and “inviting” atmosphere. “Warm service” and a “wonderful spirit” makes it a “keeper”; P.S. the Mondays, 3-course unlimited Mussels at $22.95,, Tuesdays No Corkage fee & Half price wine by the glass w/entree, Wednesdays, Prime Hanger Steak with a glass of Rosé at $24.95, Thursdays, 2-course Lobster Special at $28.95, and Fridays, Provencal Bouillabaisse at $29.95 are “the big bargains” here.

"We go there quite often and do not miss to visit with friends during Restaurant Week. Always good and reliable, this is probably the nicest restaurant on Mamaroneck Avenue. It manages to keep its class and European cuisine inspiration almost as an island oo tradition and quality."

Varka is a Mediterranean fish house located in the heart of downtown Ramsey. They offer fish by the pound from all parts of the world, plus Greek specialties and Black Angus steak house selections.

"In my view, this is the best seafood place around. Very fresh, prepared to perfection to preserve the delicate flavors of fish. The Loup de Mer is my favorite and is out of this world. Nice wine list with a few Greek nectars to discover. Service is perfect. A great place."

Le Colonial is a truly delightful culinary experience. Like stepping into French Colonial Southeast Asia, this two-story restaurant, designed by Greg Jordan, consists of a main dining room with louvered wall panels, colorful tile floors, and vintage photos of Vietnam. Upstairs is an elegant, but lively, lounge serving a full dinner or just appetizers and cocktails. The lounge serves as an ideal setting for private parties and business dinners. Chef Ronald Wingwee Hsu serves an authentic Vietnamese menu with an emphasis on fresh seafood, meats, and vegetables.

"I have been quite a few times over the years to Le Colonial for business lunches, but that was my first time for dinner. And I was not disappointed. Food is excellent and creative, service is impeccable and attentive. The decor of an old colonial mansion is fairly relaxing. I's a tad expensive, but worth it."
