At The Trattoria we share our version of Italian American Cuisine. We strive to source the finest and freshest ingredients available on the American market, and prepare them with Italian sensibility. The food is rustic and soul satisfying. We continue to offer the same relaxed atmosphere, and come as you are, drink what you want hospitality that we bring you with The Trattoria.

"As always, the food is so great. Loved everything we ate. My friend and I had the Braised Ribs and Beet Salad as appetizers. We both got the Orrechiette Lamb Rago as entrees. YUMMY! I got the biscotti (best biscotti anywhere!) and gelato for dessert. My friend had the affogato, which she LOVED. Prices are excellent. Love to bring our own wine! Just wish the menu would change a little more frequently. I visit the Trattoria a lot and would love other choices."

Local farms and waters are the inspiration for this New American restaurant that focuses on preparing menus using ingredients that change with each season. American microbrews and wines are carefully selected to pair with each dish our chefs create. Enjoy our House-Infused Artisanal Cocktails made with seasonal purees and fresh squeezed juices while overlooking the Long Island Sound on either the outdoor patio, upstairs seating or cozy lounge. Established in 2004 in Greenport, this Zagat top-rated restaurant for both food and service moved in Spring 2008 to Port Jefferson harbor.

"As usual, my dining experience here was great. It was a weeknight, so very quiet in the village and in the restaurant itself. Service was great and the food was delicious."

The Plaza Cafe is the top rated restaurant in Southampton according to The Zagat Survey, The New York Times , and Long Island Newsday. It has been owned and operated for the past 15 years by Chef Doug Gulija. The dining room has just gone through a makeover to give it more of a relaxing/'beachy' look and a new bar menu has been added. Tucked away behind the Southampton Movie Theater and across from The Southampton Inn it offers an eclectic menu as well as an award winning wine list along with friendly, professional service by a well trained staff run by our Dining Room Manager Tatiana Sibre. Come and experience for yourselves one of the best dining experiences in the Hamptons.

"We were greeted very warmly on a cold winter night. The room is really pretty and we were seated in front of the fireplace (best seat in the place, I think). My husband and I had the oysters as an appetizer. They were delicious. The waitress told us there were a limited number of specials still available. The entree special was a grilled swordfish with butter poached lobster, pan-seared sea scallop and mussels in a tomato fennel broth, topped with an AMAZING lobster aioli. We both ordered it and… WOW! For dessert we had the apple pecan cake. This is one of the best desserts I've ever had. I usually go for a chocolate dessert, but this is a MUST HAVE!!!! Overall, a great evening!"
