Gulfstream was inspired by the classic seafood houses from America"s culinary history. In Newport Beach, an elegant building awaits where Pacific oysters are shucked to order and the exhibition kitchen opens to the dining room to excite the senses. In Los Angeles, a secluded perch above Santa Monica Boulevard is the setting for a menu of rotating specialties including the Cedar Plank Salmon, true Dover Sole and Creole BBQ Shrimp. All of our fish is served within 24 hours of being caught and you will also find a plentiful selection of more terrestrial fare as our Hawaiian Rib-Eye or the Crispy Chicken Sandwich.

"love GULFSTREAM and am so glad it's finally on Open Table. Been there many times lunch and dinner. Great spot for after the movies in Century City and meet friends for lunch there often. Love the chopped salad with crispy chicken,a fabulous blend of lettuce, almonds, beets, grapes and the fab chicken. DO NOT MISS sharing a piece of the huge lemon meringue pie, one of the best I've ever had...one piece easily serves four.
Fish is always perfectly cooked, great tuna burger, fried shrimp, salmon and other grilled speciailities. There are the sinful Heavenly biscuits which are scary good

Blue Plate Oysterette was inspired by East Hampton summer lobster bakes and mouthwatering lunches at Montauk’s favorite roadside eateries. With influences like Pearl Oyster Bar and Mary’s Fish Camp in New York, Oysterette serves lunch and dinner seven days a week with a menu straight out of the seafood shacks you find on the East Coast. Chunky, overflowing lobster rolls, buckets of steamed clams in broth so flavorful that bread demands to be dunked, clam chowder, mussels in broth, ceviche, and raw shellfish so fresh you can smell the ocean. Filling the void in the Westside restaurant scene for a casual, beachy, seafood restaurant and buzzing neighborhood vibe appealing to both surfers and studio heads.

"Feels like you r sitting on a wharf on Nantucket while you dive into lobster rolls, mussels, oysters, chowder and all the other east coast seafood treats I miss so much since living on the west coast. I have had many lobster rolls but this one rates very high on the list. I'm not an oyster lover but the rest of my family have an almost religious respect for the creatures and this is their favorite
place to partake. The place was packed at 1:30 on a gorgeous day in LA. I saw many delectable fruits de mer platters and steaming lobsters. YUMMY

"Celebrated a friend's birthday at Maggiano's on the patio and it couldn't have been any nicer. All was good; the food, the service and the ambiance. The beautiful patio has the sound effects of a vintage fountain and the view of the Gilmore Adobe and it's lovely gardens. We will plan many more happy occasions there"

"We enjoyed our nite at BANDERA but it does feel like a successful formula. Can't complain about anything really, food, service and energy were all good but I kept having the feeling that I'd been there before (when I hadn't). The addition of live music was terrific (seasons 52?) The bar was hopping and a sure money maker and many people were also dining at the bar Walking from the valet through the kitchen to the maître d stand was an eye opener in a very good way in that the kitchen was very clean, well organized and bustling with workers who looked like they knew what they were doing. The same can be said for the interior staff, multiple executive types checking on the smoothness of the organization. All in all, very mpressive"

"now and then we go to see a film that inspires a theme nite.."Le Weekend" got us to MEET and we loved it. Parisian quality steak frites is our go-to but the way my husband was levitating toward the waiters every time they passed, Mussels (served 17 ways) will be on his agenda. Pretty loud so next time we will take advantage of the sidewalk patio which seemed well heated. I have a special place in my heart for authentic onion soup so I will be sure not to fill up on popcorn before dinner so I can hit that. Everything we saw being feasted on by other diners was salivating material
We'll bring friends with us

Nonna is Italian for grandmother, but besides respect for tradition, this spacious Sunset Strip ingenue is molto moderno. The restrained elegance of gleaming wood floors, paneled walls, and minimalist furnishings is offset by the exuberant energy from the large display kitchen.

Dishes are carefully made from superior ingredients and presented simply in generous portions. The menu showcases excellent products in plates of tangy, imported buratta, or prosciutto and melon. A bowl of orecchiette topped with ground sausage and aged pecorino is nothing fancy but made with care. Lighter Californian fare like thin-crust pizza and seared ahi tuna can also be found.

A glassed-in wine cellar has a strong collection of reds from Tuscany and Piedmont.

"just short hop from Century City,
we went to Nonna after a movie nite. It was an easy stop with just OK food. It did seem filled with regulars however so they must be doing something right. We had pasta and salads with glasses of red wine. For that evening it was the right choice. I'm not sure I would become a regular myself. With a city filled with great Italian eateries Nonna is not high on my list and since it's not in my "hood" it may be a while till I go back. did like the throwback booths tho

"really good preparation of a wide variety of seafood includes an array of shellfish, the trendoid lobster roll (yummy)chowders and
other seafood staples. A great looking venue and a happening bar scene adds to the allure. The fact that there's an ocean view adds to the vibrant mood. I have been there for previous dinners and lunches on a few occasions and have always left satisfied

At Connie and Ted’s you’ll find simply prepared fish and shellfish, inspired by the classic clam shacks, oyster bars, and fish houses, that dot the New England Seaboard and the Western Coast.

Enjoy one (or two) of 24 California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our large variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.

"a fantastic replica of the New England beach seafood shack. Had all the favorites I had come to love in New England: fried shrimp, racks of oysters, bowls of steamers LOBSTER ROLL!! chowder three ways, fish and chips. This is a well priced and VERY CASUAL experience with a front patio, high stool tables, a bar and regular tables. Everything I tasted was excellent and we did lots of sharing. The cocktail of stupendously sized shrimp was a great starter as we waited for our group to arrive and we just kept ordering from there. Wish they didn't have sports bar TV at the bar that kept my husband and nephews craning their necks for most of the meal but other than that I would recommend Connie & Ted's"

"We've eaten here numerous times but never had such a service failure. The kitchen just didn't have it together this nite even though the food was still good. There were many complaints as two people in a group received dinner much later than companions. We saw this repeated throughout the room. A group of four waiting for a table finally left after being ignored.
our gelato took 30 minutes to arrive, although the spoons and many promises came earlier. We thought perhaps they were milking the cow. Not the greatest nite at Il Grano
