Kellari Taverna is located in the heart of New York City, three blocks from Grand Central Station, Times Square and the Theater District. The dining room decor evokes a subterranean wine cellar designed with contemporary elegance. Kellari features the traditional Greek taverna specialties, such as grilled whole fish, prime chops and meats, and an eclectic selection of contemporary Hellenic savory appetizers ("mezedes") created by our Corporate Executive Chef, Gregory Zapantis. Our menu also features a variety of Greek cheeses, baked or flamed 'Saganaki' style, as well as a selection of Raw and Marinated seafood. The Kellari dessert menu includes innovative specialties such mastiha pudding and warm sokolata with halva ice cream as as well as traditional favorites such as Baklava and Galaktoboureko. Kellari Taverna offers an extensive international wine list featuring the largest selection of Greek wines available in any U.S. restaurant. About 24 wines are available by-the-glass.

"I went with a friend of mine to New York for his birthday for a Broadway show, and we wanted a nice place to kick off the night. Although the area where the fresh fish were located was pretty stinky to me (I'm a vegetarian and fish smell just doesn't do it for me), we were moved and that solved that problem. I was not impressed with the saganaki (it was just a pool of melted cheese) or the spanakopita (the filo was not very flaky at all), but apparently the lamb was juicy and delicious. I will go there again if I am in town again, but I will just pick other vegetarian options (there were plenty). We absolutely loved our Greek wine! And although we thought our server was a little aggressive, he was definitely friendly and knowledgeable."

An intimate wine bar in Chinatown/Penn Quarter with a wine list featuring over 30 options by the glass including lesser known varietals and labels from around the world. A selection of domestic and international beers, boutique spirits, and fresh ingredient sodas are available. Weekly specials include wine cocktails, flights, and happy hours. The exciting food menu featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients offers many options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

"I read the other reviews, so I went to Flight being a little skeptical about the food. Sure enough, no one in my party was impressed with the food. The presentation was wonderful, but overall we weren't impressed. However, our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines (as expected), but he was also extremely gracious and friendly. Based off of that and the very attractive environment, I will definitely go back... For the wine. I'll be sure to eat before I get there."
