Located in the heart of Harlem, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. Named in honor of the legendary Harlem speakeasy, Chef Marcus Samuelsson brings his passion for food to the neighborhood he calls home.

"Most of my day trips to NYC involve theater matinees and dining in the theater district. This time we decided to venture farther afield and trying this restaurant was high on the list. It did not disappoint. Easy to get to via Metro, extensive outdoor seating (it was a gorgeous day), extremely attentive staff, and food - oh my! We went for lunch right at opening, 11:30 am. My friend and I both opted for the Prix fixe lunch and chose carrot ginger soup for our starter and salmon for our entree. Pure heaven! The only very minor thing that would have been nicer was if the sweet potato donuts for dessert were warm. But I'm sure if we would have asked, they would have warmed them. Highly recommended."
