Created by renowned Executive Chef Barry Koslow, Pinea serves contemporary European dishes with a focus on France, Italy and Spain. An exceptional selection of local vegetables and seasonal meats and seafood are enhanced by flavor profiles popular in these regions—citrus; fresh herbs, including lavender and rosemary; and curated olive oils. Feast on such menu highlights as handmade pastas and housemade spice blends, along with impeccably fresh and carefully sourced seafood like whole grilled branzino. Share bold dishes inspired by Italy’s merenda (afternoon snack): roasted serrano ham-wrapped figs with blue cheese, as well as pissaladiere topped with caramelized onions, black olives and boquerones.<br />Complement your plate with an esoteric wine from a southern European region such as Campania, Valencia or Languedoc Roussillon, or a unique craft cocktail or beer.

"We came across Pinea quite by accident, but what a lucky one! The service by Duni was outstanding! She was attentive, yet not overbearing and far exceeded our expectations for fine dining service.
The food was wholesome and it was obvious that special care and attention was paid to each dish. I had the swordfish, someone else had the lobster risotto, and a third had the nero spaghetti. The wine list was impressive, and the desserts were divine!
I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out."

Enjoy a fantastic culinary experience and unequalled skyline views through two-story windows high above the Potomac River. The contemporary interior features chrome, glass, suede, and wood with accents of granite. Check out the critically-acclaimed Sunday Kitchen Buffet Brunch. The Roof Terrace Restaurant & Bar is located on the Roof Terrace level of the Kennedy Center above the Hall of Nations.

"My friend and I eat here because it's in the building and we only have to park once. The food is usually good, but very overpriced. The wine selection is adequate and we have always found something we enjoy in our price range."
