Opened in 1983 by Theatre District restaurateur Joe Allen, Orso serves regional Italian cuisine in a cozy, intimate setting. Out-of-towners, locals and Broadway regulars can all be spotted enjoying Orso's outstanding preparations of classics like rigatoni Bolognese and sautéed calf's liver with grilled onions and sage. In addition to these standbys, Orso also offers smaller plates, antipasti, thin crust pizzas and half orders of pasta, which are perfectly suited for lunch and late evening dining.

"been here many times before but not so thrilled this time. food was good, but not great. we were observing passover (not unusual in nyc), so my daughter and i asked for our fish dishes to be served without couscous and risotto. i was surprised at what my served dinner looked like: a piece of white fish on a white plate with a lemon. no vegetable, garnish, or anything. my daughter's couscous was not substituted either. not sure i would recommend orso to a friend or if i would return."

"been here before- the food is good, but expensive for what it is. started with the salad of local greens, which was described as having "shaved vegetables," but it had barely anything other than mesculun lettuce. other things were good, but not great."

The menu mixes authentic Lebanese dishes with modern Mediterranean influences to create a culinary journey for the palate and senses. Complementing the international cuisine, ilili offers an impressive wine list that includes wines from all over the world and features favorites from Lebanon and the Mediterranean. The restaurant’s decor echoes the diverse menu, combining the architectural richness of Old Lebanon with an attitude and style that is unmistakably New York. A DJ sets the mood with music from around the globe and soft, amber lighting punctuated by candles create a sexy, sophisticated atmosphere in which to enjoy a relaxed meal. The cuisine, décor and ambience come together to create a new world for your senses to explore, whispering gently in your ear, ilili.

SAVONA, SCARSDALE is the second location of ZAGAT Top 5 Italian Restaurant, SAVONA, in Philadelphia. Consistent, creative, high quality dining and seamlessly orchestrated service has been the hallmark of SAVONA's success for 15 years. Now, Executive Chef, Andrew Masciangelo, and Chef de Cuisine, David White, offer their soulful regional Italian cooking here in Westchester, New York. Their farm to table philosophy involves handling products as few times as possible to capture the natural flavor intensity of each ingredient. Culinary excellence is supported by a killer wine program featuring an extensive array of wines by the glass created by Fred Dex, Master Sommelier. A 20 foot white marble bar, sexy lighting, dramatic drapery, contemporary leather chairs and thick butcher block tables set the stage for high quality dining. We look forward to welcoming you to SAVONA.

"good as usual. one thing always strange is that we never see the waiter after he/she takes our order. also, think you should have a soup that is vegetarian/lactose free friendly- one had pork and the other was creamed."

"food was very good, as usual. one thing that surprised me was that i was the table for about 30 mins before my date arrived and only received water (i was asked if i wanted a drink). an elderly woman came in after me and before she even took off her coat, she was served bread. she was obviously a regular, but come on- there were only about 5 tables full at that point. give me some bread too! waiters also tend to disappear for long periods of time"

"When I checked in (early), the restaurant was not crowded yet, but the Maitre d' sat me at a table right by the kitchen. My husband came shortly after me and was seated at a different table. Apparently he was confused by 2 parties with similar last names, but we kept saying we booked on Open Table and can show you the reservation. Didn't make much sense. Service was good, but I was seated by myself for about 20 minutes and never served anything but water. Can't you give a person bread? They were also in a big hurry to clear the table- i was putting on my coat and my purse was on the table, and the busboy was shooing me away. He couldn't wait 2 minutes for us to leave? The table next to ours was cleared and a new party was seated, while the original party wasn't finished and just got up to go to the ladies room- her coat was still there. Food was good and i like the menu. I may recommend to a friend."
