"best thing is that you can eat outside. food was only okay (i had spaghetti squash which was usually excellent in the past- this time it was very undercooked). waiters are nice but seem very unprofessional. seems as though they added extra tables and you sit on top of those next to you. even hard to find a way out!"

Lexington Square Cafe invites guests into a vast space that combines cosmopolitan chic with a friendly atmosphere. Its distinct decor exudes elegance and warmth, so it accommodates the needs of its patrons, formal and informal. A spacious main dining room with a 17-foot high ceiling and different tiers provides guests with various dining niches. Cherry wood wine racks, alabaster lighting and a grand, sweeping staircase add to Lexington Square's sumptuousness. An upstairs, warm dining room with butternut squash walls and cozy booths is perfect for those who prefer a little more intimacy. Still another option during the warmth of spring, summer and fall is a private, flowery patio for casual al fresco dining. Chef Gerald Alcin has created a menu that has "SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE". The most popular items on his menu are Thai Lettuce Wraps, Grilled Lobster "Mojito", Chopped Salad(#1 Seller), King Salmon Club, Sesame Crusted Sea Scallops & 20oz. Brown Sugar Rubbed Shell Steak.

"we hadn't been back to plates since it first open (not for any specific reason- just didn't think about it. i do remember that when i went then, it was extremely noisy), and we had a delicious meal with great service. the restaurant wasn't crowded on this particular evening. only suggestion i have is I like to order 2 apps for dinner, especially in the summer, and there wasn't a great choice of apps for me. the salad i had (i think beet and feta cheese) was delicious and very ample, but there was no other app on the menu that i wanted to order. would definitely go back."

"food was delicious and our waitress was excellent in serving us promptly, but appropriately since we had to get to Lincoln Center by a certain time. I am not sure why I had to be ushered to a table across the entire restaurant to the back room though, when there were plenty of empty tables in the front room for 2. just seemed very odd and unnecessary- kind of like we weren't good enough for the front room."

"food was good & nice to sit outside. however service was poor. sat at table for good 10 mins before we had to ask waiter to order drinks. appetizers came- 2 of us were sharing a salad, but they didn't split it in the kitchen as many restaurants do. also, 1 of us ordered a salad as a main course and that was served with our apps. one other app didn't come out until significantly after the others. never received the red pepper that was requested. main courses- my main course did not come as ordered, another's salad came dressed when it was requested undressed. waiter no where to be found. has great outdoor seating though, which is the main reason to go back. waiters seem very poorly trained. bus boy did not understand anything we asked"

Roberto Paciullo’s hometown of Salerno is transported to the streets of Manhattan. Zero Otto Nove is the second outpost of his famous restaurants from Arthur Ave. in the Bronx. From the atmosphere to the food, stopping by Zero Otto Nove is taking a quick trip to Italy. The wood-burning brick oven is at the center turning out classics like the Margherita, and Roberto's originals, such as La Riccardo with butternut squash puree, smoked mozzarella, spicy pancetta, and basil. All the pastas are homemade, and all ingredients are brought in from New York's Real Little Italy, Arthur Avenue.

"we've been to the restaurant on Arthur Ave. and were excited to try this new location. food was very good, but like the ambiance of the other one better. we sat next to a table with an annoying toddler playing with an iphone that made a beeping sound the whole dinner. missed the baby octopus in tomato sauce that we had at the other restaurant."

Celebrating its 108th Year, Barbetta is the oldest restaurant in New York still owned by its founding family. Barbetta is also New York's oldest Italian restaurant and the oldest restaurant in the Theater District. This three-fold distinction has earned it landmark status by the Locali Storici d'Italia. In a glittering interior decorated with 18th century Italian antiques Barbetta serves the cuisine of Piemonte, Italy's northwestern most region. In summer, its exuberantly verdant garden with century-old trees and scented with the blooms of wisteria, oleander, jasmine and gardenia make it a most sought-after site for al fresco dining. <br />

"food was delicious-b/w the 4 of us we had 4 apps spinach and pear salad, octopus,&something with chorizo which were all excellent.main courses were equally as delicious-salmon,cod,chicken & another fish. my issue was with the service which i thought had an attitude: 1st the hostess tried to seat us twice in the smaller room next to 2 huge parties when there were plenty of tables for 4 in the other room.the waiter overfilled our wine glasses & then asked "do we want another bottle?" this is a lousy trick.then, because it was passover (a jewish holiday observed by many in the new york area)I couldn't eat barley that was served with my dinner.2 sub something else i would have to pay a surcharge, although it was 4 relig reasons. also v. noisy"
