"I'd classify this as a more varied steakhouse retaining the steak house service! You can order the usual steak choices, with the usual prices) or order a variety of other items...not the one chicken or fish dish offered at many steakhouses but a whole lot of options!
We went simple , sharing a chopped salad, waiter had said starters were sharing size! and then having Prime Burgers. Priced at $17 , coming with choice of cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion, fried onions, mushrooms..all of the above or any combination there of with no additional charge! Also a side of fires..in a metal "cone" so they stay hot..and were delicious!
A round loaf of bread is also brought to the table.
Good choice of beers and wines, bottles or several by glass.
As mentioned service was excellent. It was our first visit but won't be last!"

Dos Caminos brings the vibrant spirit of Mexico City to New York City. Serving authentic and upscale Mexican cuisine, including fresh guac, killer margaritas, and South of the Border staples like Asada Tacos and fresh ceviche. The tequila and margarita menu is one of the most robust of its kind. “Dos” has single-handedly redefined Mexican for Americans.

"Nice choices on menu. Food was tasty. I rated service as good but almost went to fair just because the place was not crowded but service was still a bit off and there seemed to be plenty of staff. It is often that way. Plus service was rushed..main course came(hot) while I was still eating first course..this happened to other tables as well..table can get a bit crowded and food cool off.
But enjou the orange rice and black beans and food is consistently good."

Socarrat Paella Bars ambiance denotes feelings of warmth, comfort and hospitality. A neighborhood staple with a small, intimate space comprised primarily of one large communal table with bar and smaller communal tables available.

**Please note that all of our tables at the Chelsea location are high tops and our chairs are without backs.**

Socarrat, the quintessence of the perfect paella and for which the restaurant is named, is the delectable, sensuous crust that forms on the
bottom of the paella pan when the liquid is rendered and the rice reaches its peak of succulence. The menu, an authentic array of delicious dishes from the regions of Spain specializing in traditional tapas with an accent
on paella and fideua (which substitutes fried noodles for rice) that can be characterized as a true exploration for the palette.

Socarrat also offers two dozen tapas, wines by the glass, Spanish desserts, and the best sangria in the city.
"Great choices on menu! Paellas are cooked to order so prepare to wait 30 or so minutes. Tasty cod fish croquettes(croquette of day) and Chicken and veggie paella(paella of the day) If you don't know to do it yourself the waiter will helpfully scrape the bottom of the pan for you to get the "best" crunchy bits..you are also advised to let it sit for an extra 2 mins for extra crunchiness!
Delicious Flan!
They also have great everyday lunch specials!"

"Had a delicious meal. I thought the RW menu was great..I would have been happy with any of the choices! Started with Sunchoke soup with hazelnuts...creamy and tasty. Then the duck leg confit on faro and a decadent chocolate cake with carmalized peanuts.
WIne list is a bit pricey but then again it is a Boulud..right across from Lincoln Center!"

Pomodoro, at 229 Columbus Avenue has been a neighborhood favorite for years. The beautifully prepared Italian classics and excellent service has earned this restaurant a loyal following of Upper West Siders. Beige walls adorned with decorative ceramic plates from Italy, a ceiling trellis with hanging grapes and red and white-checkered tablecloths evoke the feeling of an authentic Italian trattoria. The street side outdoor café is the place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and savor the antipasti while watching the people stride by.

"We chose this place after walking by on a prior trip to Lincoln Center. Red checked tablecloths, cozy atmosphere. We were there early so not too busy at first but staff talking amongst themselves by bar was distracting.
I had the veal Milanese which was quite tasty. My friend had the salmon..didn't wow but she enjoyed. Interesting sounding specials but a tad over priced for the fish.
Wine list had some reasonable bottles as far as restaurant wine lists go.
Would return to try some pastas, other dishes."

"Day of the storm..pre ballet early dinner. Only a couple other tables occupied. We split a beet salad..just some beets chopped in a pile next to a pile of arugula and other greens. Then each had pasta special spaghetti with mussels and veggies in white wine garlic sauce, sounded perfect fo apes snow! And it was , delicious, but we both noted something in sauce that was not mentioned when specials were described. Cream, cheese? WE asked waitress who said she had not been told that..she asked in kitchen and was told sous chef had indeed added some cream to it!
Also said he was getting a talking to by chef...in my opinion it made the dish but if someone doesn't do dairy could be a problem!
Red wine over chilled.
Nice experience though, was happy until I got home later to an e-mail that the restaurant had cancelled my res...had to call restaurant(suggested in e-mail) and then contact Open Table direct;y in order to rectify. Had given my last name to hostess, she said first name so res was obviously there."

"Had a 1:30 res for 3. Lovely meal..the brunch is a steal at 26 for 2 courses 34 for three given the choices and quality of food! We are started with the arugula salad .. soup de jour was potato Leek which was tempting but knew would be too filling and I already had my eye on the profiteroles! My main course was the steak and eggs, perfectly cooked, served with spinach and crisy potatoes and no supplement charge for steak. The "Americain" (bagel, smoked salmon, cream cheese, etc.) and tilefish with cous cous were also enjoyed!
Did enjoy the profiteroles , and the yuzo tart and molten choc cake were also delicious!
Nice ambiance, good service...just like the lunches and dinners I've enjoyed there!"

"Went for an early pre-Holiday dinner. Seated by window, service efficient. Ordered draft Palm Beers, and then I had the Fried Chicken..3 pieces, crispy, with good mashed potatoes and okay cole slaw. My friend had the Texas style BBQ brisket and was pleased.
Disappointed that did the res at 5:30 on a Thurs for 2 was not eligible for points...
Next time I would try more of the BBQ items.."

"Early dinner..only two other tables at first. Started with oysters on half shell at a dollar apiece! Nicely served with lemon, cocktail and mignonette sauce. Then had the charred octopus..Very tasty, perfectly cooked, and attractively presented. Dessert menu tempting but had had some dental work so just went with a scoop each of espresso and cinnamon ice cream .
As the meal progressed the place got a few more guests, the lights dimmed, and candles glowed..nice ambiance. Also nicely priced glasses of sauvignon blanc."
