"I'll chalk it up to ordering the wrong dishes. I was looking forward to Easter Brunch as my 1st experience. My oyster taco 1st course came topped with runny cole slaw that almost spoiled the dish; the oysters were excellent though. Dining companions ordered carnitas and were very pleased. 2nd course was Gulf Catch Hash. Fish over quartered potatoes with cold crab salad atop a poached egg. Each part was ok, but the parts didn't work together to make a whole dish. The crab/egg part was unpleasantly tepid due to the cold seafood on top of a warm egg. Companion had chicken fried steak that was excellent. Dessert was butterscotch pudding..ok. Companion had lemon tart that was excellent. Didn't win the lottery with this one."

Located on Main Street in the heart of downtown Dallas, CBD Provisions is a spirited Texas brasserie that evinces the growing vitality of the central business district. Developed by Consilient Restaurants, this urban-rustic eatery features modern interpretations of Texas tavern fare from Executive Chef Michael Sindoni, who employs an artisanal sensibility and strong commitment to local and sustainably raised ingredients. CBD Provisions is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week, and serves a complete menu until midnight on the weekends. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed. Menu items range from buckwheat pancakes with local berries and bourbon barrel aged maple syrup for breakfast to BBQ gulf oysters with absinthe whipped lardo for dinner. The interiors, conceived by New York-based design architect Claudia Woods, are equal parts rich and raw-historic brick walls, bronze cabinetry, rustic wood beam ceilings, tufted leather banquettes and antique mirrors.

"So hard to believe this is a "hotel" restaurant. Thankfully it competes on a level with the best places in Dallas. This was my 4th time there and never had a disappointment. Ok, this time there was one: the whole purpose of this visit was to have the pork carnitas. The adjacent table got the last one….7:30 on a Monday night, and they're sold out?? Oh well, just have to go again :)"

"You would never guess this is a "hotel restaurant". Nothing industrial about the look; it's very lofty/homey in feel. Great selections in each category of courses. Liver mousse toast is an excellent starter or perfect for bar food if you're at the bar for cocktails. Snapper was cooked to perfection and seasoned expertly. But that's just this visit….never had a bad experience. It's a gem."
