Sur La Place is a cozy, fine dining gem nestled in the renowned Palisades area of Washington D.C. A Product of its' sister restaurant, Mannequin Pis, located in Olney, Maryland, Sur La Places specializes in exquisite Belgian cuisine. With over 20 varieties of Mussels and over 30 varieties of fine Belgian beer, one comes to realize that Sur La Place is not your ordinary restaurant. The menu takes a trip through Belgium, from Grilled Duck Pate or Wild Boar and Cranberry Sausage to a Seafood Bouillabaisse with Gambass, Mussels, Salmon, Sea Scallops, and Lobster. Fantastic desserts and a fully stocked bar put the cap on a great experience. With its exposed brick, deep wood hues, and dark red drapery, Sur La Place is an excellent choice for a romantic date, a business meeting, or simply a fine night out in the city. It's knowledgeable and service oriented staff are always eager to serve you and we look forward to having you as our guest.

"Groupon had a special coupon (about 50% off) so it was an incentive to try this Belgium restaurant. If you are into Belgium beers, than you
would be in mini heaven as the place has a wide variety of said beers. Personally, we prefer wine to beer and the selection of wines is rather
limited. As to the food and especially the mussels, I was disappointed . There are about ten offerings of mussels and the one we chose was dull and devoid of taste. We shared one kilo of mussels and left quite a few in the pot. There is another Belgium restaurant across the street and their mussels are superior.

Top notch restaurant and wine bar featuring a 35+ wine-by-the-glass offering, wine tasting flights, a full service restaurant highlighting small plate entrees, as well as a boutique retail wine shop that boasts an unusual collection of wines from around the world. Purchase a bottle to drink with dinner and pay just $10 over retail cost! A full bar with signature cocktails using house made infusions and bottled beers are also available.

"The restaurant is divided into two sections - a wine store with tables and a smaller separate dining area.Overall, the food was quite good
and the wine list ($!0 discount on Thursday) includes many interesting wines. The Brussels sprouts ($4.00) make a great appetizer and are very tasty. The dinner menu is not extensive but what we had (hamburger and pasta) were nicely done. Service was very good (Abbey) and contributed to a very pleasant dining experience.

"A few months ago we ate here and the food was quite good. Unfortunately, the current offering is fair at best. The menu lists "a wedge of lettuce" but instead, for $10, you a slice of lettuce (about 1/2" thick) of a head of lettuce. The special fih of the day was coho salmon which was nicely prepared but had very tough mushrooms(?) or chicken(?). It was uneatable and was left on the plates. the waiter took note of it when we advised him of it but took no action. The wine list has some interesting wines but what is served by the glass is poor quality cheap wine. One in particular retails for less than $10 a bottle and the restaurant sells a glass of it for $15!!. Apparently, Wine and Food Restaurant cares more about profit than good wine."

Chef Jay Caputo cooks up Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, using fresh produce from local farmers in menu offerings like Chesapeake crab-stuffed scallion crêpe served with ruby red grapefruit, cucumber, and avocado; seared breast of Giannone Farms air-chilled chicken served with roasted cauliflower, red onions, cauliflower puree, spinach, and Madeira; seared line-caught Casco Bay merlu served with oven-roasted tomatoes, Lyonnaise potatoes, and lobster-saffron essence; and blood orange mojitos. If you're not satisfied with only taking home leftovers, sign up to have Chef Jay Caputo teach a private cooking class in your own home.

"We arrived on time and were seated in the back although there were ample tales up front. There was a strong odor emanating from the
back and we requested that we be moved up front which was granted, albeit somewhat grudgingly. We perused the menu and ordered a bottle of wine (Alberino). The waitress had no idea what it was, suggested that the restaurant may be out of it and offered to bring us a bottle of Chardonnay which we declined. We ordered the rockfish but was told that there was none in spite of the fact that the waitress told
us that they get fish delivery three times a week. At this point we got up and left.

"The restaurant choices at Rehoboth Beach are limited but this one is a good one. The menu is typical of other decent restaurants in the area (all feature beet salads, duck breast and imported fish such as cod, haddock and rock fish) where no local seafood is featured. Why not have flounder or other local fish? Yes, crab is featured in many restaurants but is it MD crab or imported from the Far East?
The food here was well prepared and we enjoyed our selection of fish from MA and the Pacific.

Comfortably sophisticated, Mason’s has earned its reputation as one of the region’s finest restaurants since our debut in 1966. At Mason’s, summertime means starry evenings in our garden courtyard, gently dazzling with twinkling lights and fragrant Eastern Shore breezes. Come fall, our refined comfort food is best enjoyed fireside in the crimson dining room or at the casually elegant mahogany bar. But don’t let the seasons dictate when your love affair with us begins—or continues.

"Based on some of the reviews, we were looking forward to a great dinner. Alas, we were greatly disappointed. The entrees were poorly prepared and we had to send them back (twice!). The starters were just OK and after our entree experience we did not have any desert.
We may have hit the place on an off night but any good seafood restaurant should know how to properly cook fish.

"A relatively small restaurant - one page menu, one toilet and 77 page wine list!!
The menu is all small plates (and they mean SMALL) and the choices are rather limited. The steak and porgy were good
while the rest (cod, fluke and trout) were just OK. I fail to understand why such a small restaurant thinks that it must
have a huge wine inventory. I suggest replace the wine storage for 5000 bottles with another toilet. Most customers will be happier
with smaller wine choices and shorter toilet waits.

"The menu is rather large and includes a variety of interesting dishes. At our waiter's suggestion, we opted for the radish squares
and the squash blossoms which were both just OK - nothing exceptional. For the main course we shared a whole fish (fried) which
also was just OK along with a side of certain green leaves (?) which were mostly tough stems.
Overall, the food was fine but nothing overwhelmed us or evoked a special response.

"Had high hopes going in but left disappointed. The two fish entrees (tuna and swordfish) were poor quality fish and poorly prepared. The tuna had a foul undertone taste and the swordfish was overcooked. Likewise, the green salad had nice ingredients but was swimming in dressing.
May be we should have opted for the home made pasta. we did not stay for deserts. The wine list features wines from various regions in Italy and is adequate.

"The restaurant is rather small and on a warm evening the AC is straining to maintain a comfortable temperature.
Overall, the food was quite good but a slightly cooler room would have made the experience more pleasurable.
The menu is small and does not include any local fish (e.g. stripped bass) which is somewhat surprising because
the restaurant champions local food and lists the various local vendors it uses. The Bay has lots of fresh seafood
but the chef prefers RI scallops and west coast (?) halibut. No local crabs, oysters or other fresh catch are offered.
