Towne Stove and Spirits is a warm, welcoming respite in Boston’s bustling Back Bay. It’s a place where all are welcome and the savory scents from our wood-fired rotisserie mix with the hearty sounds of laughter and good conversation. A place where people relax and enjoy unexpected culinary surprises.

It’s a place for special celebrations, power lunches and private parties. A place where our valets take as good care of your car as our servers do of you. It’s a place where life is good. Whether you live in the neighborhood or are visiting the city, our towne is your towne.

Conveniently located adjacent to the Hynes Convention Center, towne is open daily for dinner and weekend brunch.

"Towne's reputation preceded it so I went in with high expectation and they were amply satisfied. Initially I was a little taken aback a because at a first look, the menu appears to be somewhat plain: steak prime rib, chicken, halibut, tuna. BUT look a little closer and each of those is embellished with unusual sides - and unusual combinations of sides.
Also while the prices are on the high side, the results are worth it both in quantity and quality. Steamed duck was a substantial portion with crispy skin (how do they do that when steaming?) and wonderful sides of fried riced and grilled pineapple.
Also notable was a broad wine list with a lot of variety"

Pappardella restaurant brings to you the flavors and food of Tuscany. Established in 1983, Pappardella offers a romantic setting of timeless charm with 20 foot ceilings, French doors & a stunning mural of Florence. Menu and service reflect the warmth and attention of the old world, as well as the diversity and techniques of today. we feature homemade pasta, artisanal pizza & other great Italian staples, like chicken parmagian, grilled branzino & scrumptious tiramisu. A beautiful outdoor terrace makes for great people watching in the warm months. Pappardella is conveniently located near the beacon theater, the museum of natural history & Central Park offering lunch & dinner pre fix, brunch & a busy happy hour.

"Altho I'm from Massachusetts, I eat here regularly on my visits to NYC. This was the first time the maitre'd seemed flustered with our early (but only 10 minutes) arrival. Could be that they were more concerned that we were NOT the table of 14 that was set up and ready or that there were another 6 or 7 of us squeezed into the tiny waiting area.
However once seated (only two minutes after the reserved time), everything returned to the normal levels of service and quality that I've become used to. The cauliflower soup was a big hit and the daily special sausage pizza was a perfect appetizer to be shared by four. My shrimp parm was something I don't see a lot at home and I was happy to received four large. butterflied shrimp covered in sauce and cheese with a side of pasta. Very nice."

"I had never been to Abby Lane before, but only that it was the latest project from a 'celebrity chef'. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was casual, reasonably priced with a fairly wide menu and (at least on the night we were there) very family-friendly.
Tables are closer together then I'd prefer and we were sat closest to the door (even with our OpenTable reservation), but otherwise everything was fine. Service was good, delivery of food was quick (even when very busy) food was good and portions plentiful (spiced lamb sandwich and pastrami sandwich).
I would have no reservations (haha) about returning there for another meal

"Easy to overlook BullFinch's but it's been a mainstay in Sudbury for years. We went Satuday night and were reminded why it's remains a local favorite. The duck was a generous portion verry crispy on the outside, tender on the in side. And the side of sauteed tropical fruit provided sweet counterpoint to the duck.
Also the filet was served ad desired with just the right amount of grill-char on the outside, pink and juicy inside
Also I really liked the idea of 3 2oz 'flights'of either red (all Italian) or white (reislings)"
